Magic Kingdon toll plaza

Couldn't you technically park for free at the MK. Couldn't one just bypass the MK toll plaza by going north on bonnet creek parkway, passing port orleans, then taking left on vista blvd. You would then pass fort wilderness entrance and when you come out you are past the toll plaza gate. Just curious? We always stay on property so parking is free anyway.

Technically yes, but you would actually come out "above" the parking lot entrance from the toll plaza, so you'd have to go on up towards the Contemporary, veer off at the Poly, turn left and "exit" the area, then near the car care center whirl back left behind the toll plaza.

That's exactly what I thought. I have debated trying in the past when I have stayed at Port Orleans. Also the reason I stated I don't pay for parking is to try and avoid those comments. Been on here since 2001 but don't post much because some people on here are just mean. I'm more afraid of some people on here then Im afraid of people at an Eagles game.

I used to use that method all the time when I came down on vacation. But the whole MK Toll area may be changing sometime in the near future taking it closer to the actual parking lot. This would cut the traffic jam of cars simply trying to get to the MK resorts and CMs heading to work that currently have to go through the plaza.

Hopefully reworking the intersection of Vista Blvd. and World Drive as well as Seven Seas Dr. and Floridian Way too!

That'd be fantastic if they'd do that... it'd be great not too have to grind to a halt on World Drive.

I have never experienced congestion at the plaza until going through it when people don't seem to not know where they are going. If nothing else they should make the right lanes for resort guest/cm parking and the left lanes for mk parking. If you are staying at fort wilderness do the signs point you through this way or do the direct you the other way? I love the road signs that point you in crazy directions to get you somewhere when you are right next to your destination.

Seven Seas Drive is being recoated this week on 3rd shift. Vista and Seven Seas are still going to have an intersection at World Drive but they are looking at a bridge to connect northbound World Drive traffic next to the MK parking to the rest of World Drive (not having to turn on Vista). Another section they are looking at is southbound World Drive to split off to the left to connect guests directly going to the Grand or Shades of Green without having to go through Seven Seas Drive. All of this should greatly improve traffic in the area but it's going to take some time to make all of those changes.
