Obviously, it's not the ideal conditions, but if you already had tickets and MK was in your plans- most definitely go in the rain. I recently had a debate w/a coworker who forked out full price for single day tickets who opted to leave b/c it was raining. She explained that it was "really raining" and I made a comment about why she refused to bring ponchos and actually not waste all that $ she spent. Clearly- we opt to make the best of the situation and tour the park.

:) rainy days are the best days to go the smells are better its cleaner and has that fresh feeling and like others have said alot less crowed.also since most rides are indoors anyway they dont close when it rains so the only thing you will miss is the crowds.

Absolutely! However, a poncho just doesn't do it for me. I wear glasses 99.9% of the time (unless I decide to wear contacts, which is the .1%) and I tried using a poncho at Epcot during March. I couldn't see. I proceeded to buy one of those cheap Disney umbrellas (which promptly broke upon my return home) and had a magical day from then on!

I used to love playing outside in the rain as a kid. What better way to relive my childhood than to play in the rain at Disney?

Heck yeah! We just put on a poncho and keep on going! I actually like it when it rains because it clears out the park some, and honestly, the majority of the time , the rain never lasts that long. Sure, some attractions might go down for a little while but they get them back up fairly quick. Rain at night is the best

Some of our best vacation stories are when we embraced the rain and kept on enjoying the vacation. My kids still laugh about Dad taking off sneakers and socks, then jumping in puddles on the way to get the car in DTD. Its only a bit of rain, so I say - go for it!.

I love it when it rains personally. It adds to the allure for me. One of the best times at MK was the day after Hurricane Irene hit in Oct 1999and we went all day to MK and everything was basically a walk on for us. We rode everything probably 3-4 times that day and this was when it was average for the parks to be open later. My brother and I had such a blast.

I am not a walk in the rain type person..it bothers me to have a bad hair day and that is what happens to me when i walk around in the rain... but my vote and answer was YES of course I would visit MK in the rain and I am sure I would find rides to enjoy!

rain usually means more people leave, so it's actually to your advantage to go during bad weather. just don't count on everything working properly.

Isn't this applicable any time you visit, raining or not? :D Sorry, couldn't resist.

i'll go in the rain but i prefer dhs and epcot over mk on long rainy days. there's more to do inside so it just works better for us. the good thing is it's rare for us here in florida to get an all day rain unless there's been a tropical storm/hurricane nearby or the very rare fall rain. otherwise it comes and goes. i've never just gone back to the hotel room.
I would normally agree, with 3 kids we would usually head to Epcot if we had a rainy day. There seems to be more inside things for us to do, with innovations and the living seas. My kids could spend hours just watching the dolphins. But now that my two oldest are getting a little older I think we would head to Magic Kingdom. As others have said the ride lines usually go down so we could possibly get more done.
