Do you anticipate MK closing between 10pm and 4am that Friday night/Saturday morning? I will not be able to make it to MK no earlier than 9pm.

As long as you are a passholder/resort guest, you wont have a problem. But no, I cant see it being a phased close at night. (Thats just a guess)

Considering this is a first, I've got nothing to base my hunches on.

I don't think you can underestimate the percentage of the crowd that was Cast Members last year. I expect a heavy turnout again this year, but having to burn a hard ticket--the equivalent of cash to many--will probably damper the numbers some. Also, it's Memorial Day, but how many members of the general public crazy enough to come over a holiday weekend are informed enough to even know this is going on? I'm with David, I think busy, but not phased close busy.

I think that blacking out the cast members overnight is a God awful mistake.

So it is confirmed that no CM's allowed?
Cast can normally enter in the following ways:

1. Cast ID: Admit CM only, almost never blacked out at WDW.

2. Main Entrance Pass: Admit CM and up to three guests (more if they have many children). Hourly CMs have a "Blue Pass" that can be used sixteen times per year. Professional CMs and hourly CMs with 15+ years of service have a Silver Pass that can be used an unlimited number of times. Occasionally blacked out during busy times.

3. "Complimentary Tickets": Issued twice per year, once in the Winter and once in the Summer. Each CM gets one Comp ticket for him/herself and each spouse/partner/dependent. Exempt from blackouts.

The unique thing about the 24-hour event is that Cast IDs are blacked out. The Comp tickets are never blacked out. Cast will be able to enter if they have Comp tickets, but my guess is most Cast have used their Winter tickets and Summer tickets aren't available yet.

Cast members are not allowed to use the comp tickets that they have for this event sorry to say I have a close friend that is a cast member and they are not allowed to use the complimentary tickets they get to enter the event, they would have to pay.

Your friend is wrong.
Due to the Monstrous Summer All Nighter, Main Entrance Passes and Company IDs will be blocked out from 6 a.m. May 24 to 6 a.m. May 25 at Magic Kingdom® Park. If you are interested in attending as a Guest, use your complimentary theme park eTickets.
