It is confirmed that Cast IDs are blacked out. If a CM wants in, it is my understanding that they must use a comp ticket, day ticket or annual pass.
Question, I have an annual pass, but I start working in about three weeks. I use flex pay, so am I contractually obliged to keep my annual pass? I've been thinking about keeping it for reasons like this/getting into the water parks, but am pretty on the fence if I am able to eliminate it. Otherwise, would I just finish paying out the year?

If I had flex pay for a annual pass I would keep it just because. I have to pay the full $611 amount whereas you can do monthly payments - sounds like a no brainer to me.

Cast members are not allowed to use the comp tickets that they have for this event sorry to say I have a close friend that is a cast member and they are not allowed to use the complimentary tickets they get to enter the event, they would have to pay.

Comp tickets aren't blacked out that day; they never have black outs not even on the busiest days of the year. All the hub says is Cast ID Main entrance passes are blacked out. However the pervious poster is correct that the summer comp tickets don't come out for another month so that could lower the CM crowd of guest. I think during the day it might reach Phase 2 closing but I feel like by night time, it will die down. Remember that there are going to be normal guest with small children who only will be in the MK from morning until around 4pm, or people who are avoiding this park at all cost because of the crowds.

Will be checking in at WL on Thursday so we can attend 6am rope-drop. Question ; Which do you think will be busier, Rope drop or late night ?

Someone in a thread a couple years ago indicated there was a procedure for refunds in these rare cases.

If you do a search it may turn up, or you can ask at Traditions.
Well, I didn't pay it all at once but am doing flex pay. I'll keep my eyes peeled, thanks. Worst case scenario I'll just ask somebody at disney

Just in case you might want to know, the reservations system is showing huge occupancy this weekend, starting with Thursday night. I was at one time thinking about coming down, and for a while the only option with passholder discount for anything less than a deluxe was a room at the Pop Century and a Fort Wilderness Cabin. Now only the FW cabin is available, and no discount if you come in on Friday. (Friday and Saturday get the AP discount this weekend if you come in on Thursday, but not if you come in on Friday, at least at the cabins -- confirmed by phone).

And for the deluxe hotels, as of last night the only regular rooms showing up for Friday and Saturday were at the Grand Floridian in a club room for $500 per night. No moderates (except FW cabins) or values left at all. Of course this can change as people cancel, etc., but that was the case last night.

So, between this promotion and Memorial Day weekend crowds in general, I would say to expect HUGE crowds at MK all day on Friday. Phased closings for sure.

If the last event was any indicator, they both will be busy. My family was there for one more disney day, and both the opening ceremony and the night time were both packed. In the mourning, they were handing out free mickey ears and there was a big hoopla. We were hoping that by the late night hours, all the kids would go home and we would virtually have the parks to ourselves. Unfortunately,as the night wore on, more and more people started to pour into the parks. It was def more crowded during the nighttime then it was during the day . We ended up leaving around 2 am because even the TTA had a 20 minute wait. buzz was an hour. Space mountain was 100. You couldn't get on anything so we didn't find that enjoyable at all. Plus we didn't want to be completely zonked out for the next day.

Couple notes:
From 11pm-2am, it was pretty damn busy. Not i dont mean actual wait times because most everyone wasnt riding rides, rather imagine a really big bar where everyone was drunk from sleep depravation rather than alcohol. Now add bad dance music. It was more a giant social situation then anything else.

.
Now that sounds awkard!

Sorry if this was already talked about, but anyone know if there will be more lighting and stuff this time around for the castle hub dance party? Have to say it was pretty lame for One More Disney Day lol.

Last time they did this it was busiest towards opening. Of course it would be normal to see people sleeping and leaving the park at 2 in the morning the next day.
