Magic Kingdom Snacks

All,

I thought I had it all figured out. I couldn't get a reservation for The Plaza so I was going to get ice cream to go from there one night for a snack. Now a reservation opened up and I find myself wanting to choose another place for a snack since I will enjoy their ice cream during my meal. We are already planning on snacking at the Main Street Bakery so where else would you choose for a snack in the Magic Kindom. Before you guys go crazy with the Dole Whips let me tell you that I've tried them the last time we were at MK and did not care for it. So please leave Dole Whips out. Thanks for your inputs.

Either the confectioners for candy or a rice krispie treat, or Sleepy Hollow for mickey waffle with strawberries or a funnel cake.

Both of those sound good. I'm leaning towards Sleepy Hollow. Mickey Waffle topped with Strawberries and whipped cream sounds amazing.

Ice cream sandwich from sleepy hollow!

I second the vote for a hand-made ice cream cookie sandwich from Sleepy Hollow:

Turkey Leg!:slurp:
Also love corn dog nuggets from Casey's Corner!

Can't go wrong with any sweet in the Main St Confectionery.

When you are planning SNACKS it is time to step away from the computer. Some things are allowed to be spontaneous.

I agree. This is an example of WAY over planning. The day rolls around and you're feeling like a chocolate ice cream cone would be delicious, BUT WAIT!!! The Clipboard of Fun says you have to have a pretzel. Aw, man!

I think of Mrs. Stevens from the Even Stevens Movie: "THIS IS A VERY HAPPY DAY! We should all be happy!"

I agree, but when I next go to WDW Sept 2012, I know I want:

A corndog, an ice cream sandwich, a cream cheese soft pretzel, a new hotdog from Caseys, corndog nuggets from Caseys, funnel cake, a peanut butter cookie, DOLE WHIP!!! Sorry Coldasice!

+ others I can't think of at the minute! So I've planned what I want to eat, but not when I eat them! :slurp:

This is a list from 2 years ago but its very enlightening to see how much you can get with a snack credit.

I agree that snacks should be spontaneous.
BUT..it is nice to know about some options ahead of time. After reading this thread, I mentally put that cookie ice cream sandwich as a must try for my next trip.:slurp:

I agree 100%. Snacks should be spontaneous BUT I would not have known about all the possibilities if I had not done my research and planned ahead. And each trip, now I try something new. Something that I didn't know was available as a snack. So it does pay to plan...even for the snacks! :slurp:

Thanks all for the suggestions. As for those saying not to plan snacks... all I can see is I am a gold Leo and you know how those go together. Every detail of every minute of every day must be pre-planned. Don't know why but that's just how it works for me.
