If that's how you rate your parks then you should definitely check out Dollywood. I'd be surprised if you went to Dollywood and it didn't bump one of those on that list.

I was only doing resorts, I keep on forgetting Dollywood has a hotel now. I’ve been to Dollywood a ton of times and love it. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit practically every major theme park in the country (I’m missing some Six Flags parks including SFGAdv) and Dollywood and Silver Dollar City are near the top, especially during the Christmas season.

So among people who bother to write on-line reviews, Islands of Adventure is #1 in the US and Magic Kingdom is #2

...but in terms of "actual" attendance Magic Kingdom is #1 in North America at little over 20,000,000 and Islands of Adventure is #8 at less than half that, just below 10,000,000

World wide? Magic Kingdom is still #1 and Islands of Adventure is #14 ...internet trolls? you have been served

I googled.. and found these-

10 Best-
Cedar Point ranked #1 Magic Kingdom #7
https://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-amusement-park-2017/amp/

The Travel Channel-
Cedar Point ranked #1
https://www.travelchannel.com/interests/amusement-parks/articles/top-10-amusement-parks

CNN-
Disney #1 Cedar Point not on the list
https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/world-most-popular-amusement-parks-2017/index.html

Time Magazine-
Disneyland #1 Magic Kingdom #2 Cedar Point #3.
http://amp.timeinc.net/time/money/5325493/best-amusement-parks-best-rides

ABC-
Cedar Point #1. IoA #6
https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Lifestyle/best-amusement-parks-families-2017/story?id=48132485

Synopsis- the best or favorite can change at any given time and depending on who is asked at that given time.

They’re all different, and they all have things to love about them. :)

The articles you picked don't seem to all tell the parks in order, just have 10 mentioned in no particular order of importance. Like the first one does and the last doesn't.

You just answered yourself. The article is not about attendance... nor are number of reviews nor their answers related to attendance.

Your an internet troll if you like Islands of Adventure better then the Magic Kingdom? Not my fault it has two of my top three favorite rides in Orlando, Spiderman and Forbidden Journey.

No, No, No. Haven't you been listening? Numbers do not matter. Obviously over half of the people that go to the Magic Kingdom do not enjoy it and all of the people that go to Universal in Orlando do. Universal is obviously BETTER:cool:.

I've always hoped that Universal would present itself as serious competition to WDW. Then maybe TDO would step up its game. Ha ha. Dream on, silly dreamer...

Um it does. Why do you think we have Star Wars Land ,Pandora and New Fantasyland in the parks today (or we will for the case of the first). Because IOA opened the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

Before that Universal was just an annoyance for Disney in Orlando. But when Harry Potter opened IOA's attendance jumped by 3 million (!) in just 2 years. Guests would queue for hours not to enter the rides but to enter the gift shops! That's when Disney started buying every franchise in the world that was Potter-sized and started frantically injecting IPs into their parks (a move that I don't condone). So Disney fans really need to thank Uni for Pandora, Cars Land, Star Wars Land, Toy Story Land and all of New Fantasyland.

I cringe when I see “new fantasyland” repeatedly references as a “bold” move...

That’s not what it was/is as all...it was really 20 years of neglect rehab rolled into new concrete and minor changes.

Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland alway felt small after the closure of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. New Fantasyland was a way to change that. Although I dont like the way it was executed I have to say that it at least added a new E-Ticket to MK after more than 20 years (Splash Mountain in 1990).

Harry Potter is land based on a single franchise. New Fantasyland featured immersively themed areas based on a single movie. Do you see the similarities? If it wasn't for Hogsmeade we would have probably ended up with a much different "new fantasyland".

Possibly...

I’m just saying new fantasyland was long over due after two ride closures...and they ultimately rearranged mostly the same stuff. The one net gain is little mermaid and that’s just blah.

Mine train is 100% the most overrated ride in amusement park history. An ok diversion except when you put a 2 hour wait on it. Therein lies the problem.

When they did "new fantasyland", the moved and improved the Dumbo ride, The added Belle's storytime, Gaston's quick serve,
a gift shop, The Little Mermaid ride and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. That is more than new concrete and minor changes.
(at the same time, it did take a long time between the closing of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and the completion of "new fantasyland".)

Yeah that's why I said that I don't like how it was executed. A $400 million expansion that added only one new ride. The Little Mermaid took the place of Snow White's Adventures that closed to make place for the Princess Fairytale Hall (really? closing an entire ride for just a meet n' greet that could have easily been part of the expansion itself?!?!) and it's not a great one. The Mine Train is a good ride with a fantastic indoor scene but the rollercoaster parts seem short. I really don't know why literally 90% of guests at park opening head to the Mine Train and why it regularly gets 2-hour waits.

This should be the hint that you need to step outside of your own ideals... and learn to be objective.

Because they “drink the sand”

They added nothing save buzz since splash...

So a junior coaster with 1 true AA chamber opened 20 years later is such a hot draw.

It should not be if you ARE objective.

Ummm...dumbo was moved and then reconstruction as “storybook circus”...that might Be the strangest move in history as it looks EXACLTY like toon town. I swear they took that tent down and put it back up.

Belle was moved.

One Snow White swapped for a character meet and greet and pretty much vice versatile.

Mermaid was an add. Be our guest is an add but that is kinda just a quickserve out of necessity...

So really it’s a longtime coming refurbishment with some expansion.

Tomorrowland finds itself in that spot now.

These forums are all about opinions. Everyone has his/her own. You should learn to be respectful of others'. If you disagree with me you are completely free to tell me.

Passive agressive is the preferred tact if you don’t tow the line accoridng to NYSE: DIS

I hope this isn’t gonna be another in a failed attempt to say mine train is a great ride...it is a popular junior coaster. That’s more than fair.
