Magic Kingdom Hotel Map

I figured everybody on here could use a good laugh. Somebody on Ebay has the Magic Kingdom Hotel map that hung on the walls in the Resorts in the early 70s. The map would be cool to own, but the price this person wants for it is so out there, he will have a hard time selling it. You ask how much does he want for this map, the answer is :drevil: $1,000,000.

Wow, a cool 1M, hey!?!

A little OT...
Does anybody remember the souvenir type poster/map from the early 90s? It had all of WDW on it but it was kind of cartoony with the characters on it. I don't know if you got it free somewhere or it was something you had to buy. We had it hung up in my basement for years (well, my parents house now). I looked through my parents photo albums and couldn't see a picture of it anywhere. I guess we never took pictures in front of that wall!?!

Edit* I just found a pic of it online...

While the 1 million dollar price tag is ridiculous the picture, if authentic, is an incredibly sought after piece of Disney memorabilia. They use to hang in the rooms of the Contemporary and possibly the Poly and were removed and discarded during a refurb. One of the few remaining ones was featured on Antiques Roadshow (or one of the shows of the same ilk) and the value was in the thousands.

A little OT, but does anyone beside me wish they'd bring back the oversize souvenir maps? When I was a kid, I had about 3 from Disneyland and 2 from WDW. I'd lay them out on the floor and they would help me feel like I was back in the magic. I really wish they would bring them back.

That is truly funny and ridiclious at the same time.
Wonder if that map is "made in China" hehehe like everything else.
"Did I saw and write that here" opps sorry...
Unreal the prices you find on Ebay these days.

I saw the Antiques Roadshow that showcased the ex-imagineer and his photographic "schematic" of the plot before any construction took place. I thought it was amazing but to be honest the price they quoted was disappointing.
When was the resort map featured?

I have been trying to find it but have not had any luck. I do not regularly watch the shoe so even though I have seen in within the last year there is no telling when it originally aired.

For a million smackers at least you should get the original frame:

1985-152_copy.jpg

Note the frame is chrome. Photo taken at the CR November 1985.

But at least there's free shipping!:)
