Magic Kingdom Eating...

Can anyone tell me about a nice sit down restaurant in the Magic Kingdom that they enjoy and its location? Last summer I ate in nice places in Disney MGM Studios(Sci-Fi DineIn Theatere) and Epcot(Coral Reef Cafe) and this year I would like your sugjestions on The Magic Kingdom. Thanks again for all your help.

The Liberty Tree Tavern is a good choice for lunch or dinner. Tony's Townsquare is another good spot. The Crystal Palace is a buffet meal with Characters that is quite good. If you want, you can take a short walk over to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary hotel for some good character meals served buffet style.

The Liberty Tree Tavern is located in liberty Square. If you are walking towards Fantasyland, you will pass it before you get to the HM. The interior reminds me of a cross between a Colonial house and meeting hall. They serve lunch and dinner here. Sandwiches and such for lunch and lots of stouffers type foods for dinner. They have a character dinner with Turkey and the trimmings if your in the mood!

It is near the Haunted Mansion and has a colonial theme to it. The characters where their colonial costumes as they go around from table to table. They serve things like turkey, ham, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, etc. (sort of like a Thanksgiving meal).

I am still upset about the removal of the ham from the menu of the Liberty Tree. They have replaced it with the smoked pork loin chops (thin pork chops with a smoked flavor. On my last trip we tried something new over in the Polynesian called Ohana's!!! It was awesome. The fruit dipping sauce was outrageous and I like the all you can eat of everything for 24.00 per adult. The main courses are tiger shrimp, sirloin steak, pork loin (not smoked) and mesquite grilled turkey brest, served from three foot long skewers. You can get as much as you want for that price. Nice atmosphere and everything too. Belle

'Ohana is the best restaurant on Disney property! I would rather go there to eat than any other place on Disney property. If you can only eat at one restaurant, make sure this is the one!

There is really something for everyone there Pam. Don't let the theme and names of the food intimidate you. They have very good food, you should try it next time you are there.

Well assuming we meet up Ill go with you!!!! And actually I am pretty picky myself. I just have to remember to ask them next time to maybe not marinate my shrimp as they were a touch to zippy on my tongue. I am hypersensitive though. If something has too much black pepper in it I can tell!!!! I did really like Ohanas though, I found it to be a good bargain and the food to be impressive. my DF, Richie (Dear Friend) has already said that Ohanas will be on our list of must do type of restaurants. The only other one permanently on the list is the 50's Prime Time Cafe. Belle

I would love to try it, but my husband is such a Meat and Potatoes person it drives me crazy. Maybe I can do it in Dec. since he hasn't decided if he's coming yet or not.:D

Thanks for the info though, I will have to go over the menu with him and try to entice him to go.

My sister eats here every time she goes to WDW and loves it. If my hubby doesn't come with me in Dec. I may take you up on that. Mitzers hubby loves the fried chicken at the 50's. (We usually do WDW with her and her hubby) Are repeated rest. are usually Le cellier and Teppanyaki along with Chef Mickeys and the HDD.

Well it does have all the different types of meat (very good variety actually), it is just missing the potatoes. But it does have all the other sides and appetizers that make it even better.
