Magic Kingdom Eating...

Can anyone tell me about a nice sit down restaurant in the Magic Kingdom that they enjoy and its location? Last summer I ate in nice places in Disney MGM Studios(Sci-Fi DineIn Theatere) and Epcot(Coral Reef Cafe) and this year I would like your sugjestions on The Magic Kingdom. Thanks again for all your help.

Cinderella's Royal Table

I can’t believe no one has mentioned Cinderella’s Royal Table! This restaurant is always a must stop for us every trip. Take the first lunch seating; you can usually get seated right at the windows overlooking Fantasyland. The beef barley soup is to die for! And speaking of meat and potatoes, how’s a nice prime rib lunch served with red garlic mashed potatoes sound? Simply yummy! If you looking for character dinning, breakfast is the time when all the princesses are out at this restaurant.

If you want, you can take a short walk over to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary hotel for some good character meals served buffet style.

Had to plug Chef Mickey's didn't you Pam?

My vote goes to Crystal Palace.:D

I agree, this is also very good. Last time we ate there I had the grilled chicken caesar salad. It was very good ,and huge. I couldn't finish it. We got a seat overlooking Fantasyland and watched the "Sword in the stone" presentation.

This may be true but there are a few of us out here. Actually, I had to convert my wife (but it wasn't very hard). She let me pick our honeymoon location and WDW was my choice. We have gone back almost every year since (missed two due to illness).

As for restaurants, Tony's is good. It's been a long time since I ate at The Liberty Tree Tavern but it used to be good. And eating in the castle always has something magical about it.

Oh well, now I'm "home sick" for WDW again. I can't wait until June gets here.

Not to be a contrarian, but no,no,no,no...not Liberty Tree Inn. Seriously, it's not really in the top four eateries in MK.

Crystal Palace is the best value, particularly if you have teens or a very hungry crew. They put out so much food to choose from that it's almost ridiculous. And everything is tasty. Also great dessert bar included in the price. The setting is serene and beautiful. This is the place we always go to and ranks as one of my faves in all of WDW. Location-wise, you'll find Crystal Palace at the hub of Mainstreet right next to the entrance to Adventureland.

Cinderella's Royal Table is also very nice, but it is a tiny dining room. Staff is kind of fun, playing royal servants. We've only done breakfast there, so I can't really say much about lunch or dinner other than I've been told that it's good.

To continue on opinion, I think Tony's and even Harbor House and Cosmic Rays (both counter service) are better than Liberty Tree Inn. But again it's just my opinion. I'm not much on Stouffers and that's what Liberty Tree serves.

I, too, also echo the sentiment on Ohana's. Worth the monorail ride and it still gives you a nice pretty view of MK, particularly the castle. Food is also family-style and is much much better here than at Liberty Tree.

If you want a really nice (but expensive) meal then I would recommend the California Grill on top of The Contemporary Resort. We have eaten there twice and loved it both times. And the view is great.

But check the menu first as it may not necessarily be your style.

I could always just make the ps and tell him that they have meat and potatoes.:animwink: ( I will be the woman hiding under the table) I have the menu and I'm going to start working on him this weekend. That will give me the next 4 months to do it in.

Sounds like an idea...I'm sure he will like it after he tries it though. It is hard to dislike the all you can eat steak, pork chops, turkey, shrimp, and appetizers (and don't forget the pineapple with the hot caramel for dessert :slurp: )

we ate in the castle last year for the first time and loved it. the food and service were good, but the best part for us was just being inside cindy's castle! we definitely plan to go back again this year, and hopefully will get a window seat so we can actually look out across the park!

I would strongly suggest going to one of the monorail resorts and having a relaxing meal there. Depending on whether or not you have kids and how much you want to spend, there are numerous excellent options.
