News Magic Kingdom and Epcot Fireworks to Resume July 1st

Oh Martin! I never really doubted you or anyone on here! I was fed up with DPB keeping us in the dark though!!!

In all honesty, and this is just me, I've never relied on DPB for breaking news. I know they are literally the official news source, but things always get out early one way or another.

Question, with the formal announced return of fireworks at MK and EPCOT - any word on the desert parties and such to watch them...asks someone going down end of July......

The Fireworks aren't showing on the Disney calendar.

That means we should start panicking, right?

Not sure the exact plan, but it’s possible they delay the fireworks until 10 for the boo bash event nights. So the park closes to regular guests at 9 and they are cleared out and then the fireworks happen an hour or so later.

Fireworks are for day guests and bash-attendees.

That’s not how it worked in the past. They kicked day guests out at 6 for MVMCP. MK still had fireworks but if you didn’t buy the extra ticket you had to watch from Poly/GF or TOWL. I like the plan of not kicking day guests out until 9 better.

This is an after hours event, not a party. After hours events don't have fireworks.

Boo Bash isn't the same as MVMCP or Mickey's Not-So-Scary, so it's not really comparable. This follows the format of After Hours events that also allowed fireworks for daytime guests.

From what I understand, the fireworks show will be altered for the 50th and they will occur on every night of the 50th. I don’t see them doing the Halloween show at all this year. Even the Christmas show is unlikely. The idea is that people will want to see the 50th show. It’s very possible to have holiday tags, however.

That's why I set us up to go to Epcot on 7/1 (have park pass) and then we will hop to MK on 7/2. We will see about 7/3 since it's our last night--probably hop to Epcot since we are staying at BoardWalk.

I’m set for MK on 7/1 but nervous lol. We all know the hub will be jam packed with a bunch of screaming bloggers. Epcot will be the same but not as bad, maybe lol.

Not how it worked for fireworks SPECIFIC FOR THE EVENT (party). But this is DAH operating model.. so fireworks BEFORE the event, but while event ticket holders are allowed in the park (so both audiences get it)

That was one of the nice benefits of the after hours parties. We would be able to come into the park by 6, eat dinner and watch the fireworks before the actual event took place (8PM to 11PM usually)

There has been talk about a new possibly temporary show coming for the 50th, but it hasn't been confirmed.

I don't remember them ever having 2 shows a night
