Reports of around a 15 minute firework show/test in Epcot after hours last night. Can anyone else confirm.

Project Nugget wasn’t a show it was backstage stuff. People saw permits filed and went off the deep end with speculation on that one.
The latest on the 50th was that a tag added to HEA was still in the plans. As far as I know that information is roughly a month old or more so it may not reflect current thinking but that was the latest.
At least it's a month old, not as of Christmas 2020 or last Summer.

Correct. Project Nugget did happen/is happening. It just wasn’t exactly what people thought it would be. Also project nugget is not confined to a single park.

If Project Nugget is for infrastructure upgrades/maintenance, would the current ongoing Fantasmic amphitheater maintenance be considered part of it? From aerials the entire lighting system is gone and lights on the towers on stage were supposedly already upgraded. This isn’t typical maintenance that we’ve seen in the past.
Also the Theater of the Stars has a bunch of scaffolding which are supposedly also being used to replace/refurbish/upgrade the lighting system in the theater.

Assuming the 50th tag will be MKs Epcot Forever (History of the park), if we are lucky they will include a remembrance of how MK once was in the wonderful years of full nighttime entertainment with Spectro/Msep and Wishes. There is no pyro show amazing enough that will ever replace MK nights pre HEA.

Maybe I’m missing something but I certainly wouldn’t consider this as a separate projection show like was mentioned elsewhere but rather a add on to HEA, part of the HEA 50th tag, OUAT or a OUAT replacement. Wouldn’t make any sense to have a projection show on MS instead of OUAT.
Overall MK doesn’t need anything else to cause congestion around the hub and well MSUSA. What they do need is something to spread people out into the rest of the park.

Agree, I think it was just worded poorly. Everything points to all of this work (and more) being done as an expansion to HEA. I don't even think a tag is going to happen; just more lights and pyro than before.
