Oh, wow. That's pretty bad. It's "we don't know our own characters"-bad. I thought someone was complaining about how the characters in the parks sign his name and I was going to say that it's lucky that they can scribble anything through the mask and the gloves. I didn't realize it was a company-wide thing.

No it's the RUBES will accept anything we give them bad.

Why must they throw up on all of their merchandise and over logo/design? I mean it saves me money as I don't buy it, but still.

I looked at the video and it really wasn't appealing to me.

Show me the original D with a global Mickey head in it logo and put a 45 next to it and I'm happy. Have a shirt with the promotions on it over the years and the years that they were in - that could be kind of cool.

As it is, it's as you said. They seemed to have just kind of threw up some stuff and it's presented like, "Guess what you're going to want to buy?" - which is kind of off-putting. I mean, I know that's why it's ultimately there but the emphasis seems to be more on, "we made some things with 45 on it and you're going to be compelled to buy them," instead of, "Here are some neat things we came up with to celebrate 45 Years of WDW and the Magic Kingdom!"

They should turn magic kingdom into a big candy castle! That would be really classy and no one would have an issue with it!

I watched the video and the merchandise is very off-putting. I wonder how these things get approved and who thinks it's a great idea? I can appreciate the spirit but the manner in which it was brought forth this pathetic.

I've officially had it with the cookie-cutter McDisney art and attractions.

I can't tell you how many times I've looked at something to buy, liked the front and then looked at the back... It all of a sudden looks like a Vegas Showgirl used it to clean the make-up off her face...

Something I got for my daughter for Christmas while I was at Disneyland in November 2015:

She's a big HM fan and I just thought it was cool. It's hanging on her wall at in her bedroom. This, to me, is the type of thing that they should be selling, not "We came up with some crappy designs that have 45 on them which you'll buy because: Disney." The HM sign wasn't presented as something I'll just buy but it was there on the wall of the shop as a unique gift. THIS is what I wish Disney did more of, not plush animals and T-shirts with, as was stated above, McDisney art/logos on everything.

I like the logo on the ear hat and the dark blue mug, but there isn't anything on the video that I would actually want to purchase.

There's a zero percent chance I don't go that year. Crazy to think my 1st memory of wdw was them celebrating 15yrs. I was young so I don't 100% remember that trip.

It really has me worried about the 50th.

As far as Walt Disney Worlds 50th Anniversary merchandise goes... It would be amazing to see Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily get together and create exclusive, well thought-out items on parallel to what they did for Disneylands 50th.

That was easily the greatest merchandise roll out in Disney history.

All those amazing big figs, attraction vehicle replicas and tiki galore!

It would be a real shame and missed opportunity on behalf Walt Disney World management to mi$$ this boat, but then again that's Team Disney Orlando's specialty.

Don't forget "Parade Of Dreams" which was also created in honor of the parks 50th Anniversary. I really loved the design of the floats.

This would be pricy, but a cool idea for the 50th would be to bring back parades from past years and past castle shows, ect. But by bring back parades I mean like redo Spectro in it's original form, alternate, ect. Another cool thing for the 50th (a little unoriginal) but kicking PFTH to the curb and bringing back SWSA as a trackless ride with new AAs similar to the ones in the 7DMT. A complete Fantasyland overhaul (theming and the transition between TL and FL) would be really cool.

Yes give Spectro the Dreamlights treatment

The things that I am hoping for the most at Magic Kingdom's 50th, and the things we realistically should be getting, are: a COMPLETE refurbishment of Carousel of Progress, an original night time parade, and the Space Mountain refurbishment we all have been hoping for. And I do think that they should conjoin MK's 50th with Epcot's 40th into a huge overlapping celebration. Hopefully to finally get those pavilions geared up for greatness again. The wishful thinking side of me wants a Dreamfinder return a la the Hatbox Ghost at DL's 60th.
