Disneyland's 60th ran from Memorial Day weekend - September 5th of this year, and the actual anniversary is July 17th.

We probably shouldn't get our hopes up. Disneyland didn't get any new attractions in time for their 60th anniversary, why would we get new attractions for our 50th?

You and me and the rest of the Disney fans. Give us a REASON to come visit. Slap dashing something together that is a loaner from another park or continuing to use the same old stuff (really how the hell has Stich's Great Escape not closed yet, or the vast disappointment that is the freeway, with all that space unused) and they will get me to come back.

Im surprised too, specially the utter disrepair that great AA was suffering.
In january, Stitch's suit and head was ripped in a few areas.

They still got some refurbs, overlays, new parades (night and day), new fireworks.

Some great decorations were even added to some attractions such as Mr Toad holding the golden Mickey logo.

Disneyland got a real star treatment for their 50th though...+and it was celebrated in all the parks around the world. The castle decor we got for Disneyland's 50th was pretty impressive too..unlike Disneyland's 60th Diamond Drag Queen overlay...

I think the 50th will be done well WDW wide. You can see it now in Disney Springs, DHS, and AK. We've heard things about Epcot...

Stitch is supposed to be their best Animatronic. Bad show means when you see a character without a head, or behaving improperly.
It's the term that's used by Disney. Everyone has to be on their best performance.

I understood that part, I just didnt understsand why you said "no". No to what?

I was expressing my shock. I thought the Stitch was fantastic. It's absolutely against everything that Disney stands for when the figure doesn't look right. I'm shocked that the show was allowed to run without anyone being notified.

If you were to make the argument:

The MSEP is a Disney classic and should stick around.
(and I don't see a lot of people making this argument)

Then, if that's the case, it should be completely overhauled with a full RGB addressable LED show. Imagine MSEP but with the technology of PtN.

All of that would REALLY depend on it's classic status. Is it a classic like Pirates, Haunted Mansion, or It's a Small World?? I'm not saying it is. I'd say it's borderline. If you were to think it is, though, then it needs to be completely overhauled with new LEDs and effects.

If not, then it's time for the scrap heap.

I'd argue that it IS a classic and NEEDS major upgrades

I remember new parades used to be common back in the 80's and 90's for both WDW and Disneyland up until the 25th Anniversary.

Yes they were - even parades to celebrate a new MOVIE for crying out loud!
