Guess I neer did get around to telling that story.
When I went to Sebastian Inlet I got pretty banged up. In the inlet they have a cordoned off swimming area that's protected from the ocean/surf by wave beakers made of giant granite rocks. Well, my cousin and I were walking on said rocks all day. One of those times, I went to step on a rock, but hesitated and my foot completely missed and fell in the water between the rock I was on and the one I was going to. I felt fine, but upon getting out, I realized I had perfectly circular hole in my knee, like someone took a tiny cookie-cutter to it. My guess is that's from a barnacle. As I was nursing that wound in the "healing" salt water, I realized my heel was hurting. Turns out that a chunk (CHUNK) of skin about the size and thickness of a nickel was peeled back from my heel. Nice. So i get up to walk but I can't handle the feeling of my skin just flappin' around in the water. I manage to get to a ranger station and some first aid. And Now I just have some annoying injuries to deal with until they heal. And ever since It's felt like someone took a hammer to my knee. For that entire first day I couldn't even bend it.
