Nibbs - where are you buying the next HP book?

I'm hoping to be able to pick it up at a Walmart first thing int he morning and spend the rest of the morning/afternoon reading it by the pool. I just hope they'll still have copies! B&N and Borders are about half an hour away and I jsut don't want to have to drive up there... And Walmart had plenty of copies of book 6 two days after it came out... I'm hoping I'll be ok. What do you think?

Pretty good Nibbs. I fixed my photo, I hope it is alright now.

It's perfect Jo! And I really love the pic! I think it's great. You've become much more accomplished photographer since you've been down there. :D

*Gives Nibbs a standing ovation* That was great!! :sohappy: :sohappy:

Thanks...I try my hardest.

They get the keys to the new house a week from today and will have some of their basic stuff. Then they'll head back up to Chicago one last time; get movers to put all their boxes and the big furnatire in their truck; close on their house; and move down here once and for all on the 27th! :sohappy:

Yay!!

Nibbs.....uhhh, Vince moves in next Saturday and Luke was going to North Carolina :lookaroun :p

But good job

Hey! You try to keep track of that many people. So I missed a few details. I thought I read something about Monday with Vince...but moving in next Saturday sounds right to me now. And I always get the Carolinas mixed up.

I am buying my book at Barnes and Noble at midnight. Don't know how much of it I'll have actually read, but I like going at Midnight and seeing all the people who are really nutty about HP. You know, the ones who actually go and dress up. But I think you should be ok, especially if you go early in the morning.
Well, I am off to work. have a great night everyone (I probably won't make it back on for the start of the new thread).

Bye Jo, have a good day at work!

So, here I am... Sitting at home, avoiding research till this evening... Any suggestions on how to make my slacking off more enjoyable?
I went to the farmer's market for awhile yesterday to pick up some veggies and whatnot and am currently cooking a pork shoulder roast I bought there as well in a slow cooker. It smells wonderful!

wow...you cook? Impressive. And as for things to do...hmmm...when I'm putting things off, I either watch TV or read a book.

see...WS to me stinks. But then I haven't really been there (in daylight when things were really hopping) since 2000. So I am excited to go back this year to see if my opinion changed.

What's wrong with Soarin though? Soarin is very smooth and easy. I can see why people don't like TT...although it really isn't any different than driving on a highway...in a way.

Oh, I'm sure nothing's wrong with it....it's just when I went to see 'O Canada' and they would do those panoramic sweeps around mountains and all that, I got somewhat dizzy - maybe cuz the screen surrounds you, I don't know. I'm just afraid of the same thing happening, and being up in the air when it does. *waits to hear what a baby I am :o *

Sorry I was gone for a bit - had to do up a bunch of dishes and went out to sweep the new patio :D , but it is so hot right now, I think we'll wait till after supper to go outside. The sun should be on the other side of the house by then.

I think you should at least try Soarin once. If you don't like it after that, don't go on it again. But it is definitely a very cool experience. I've never done circle vision...but Soarin doesn't surround you...it's just on a really large screen and you're moving a little. Not a whole lot. It is a lot for the senses...but it's a really cool experience.

Sorry it's so hot. That's what happens in the summer. :lookaroun  But glad you're enjoying the porch. :D
