Magic Friends...Remembering Bonny

I can imagine.

It's every mother's instinct to hover. But good moms know they have to step back little by little. In your case, I'm sure it's even more difficult. But you're doing it...because you know it's part of the process.

I totally understand that - I was quite involved with the kids' elementary school. But I let the teachers teach them, even when I disagreed with the way they did things.

I don't want to be one of those moms that uses their kid's problems as an excuse, I know that much. He is proving himself so much more capable of accomplishing more than I ever dreamed. Today I was at the school catching up on laminating, and Joel came in w/ his aide, because there was a child melting down in the regular room and he needed to concentrate. So the aide was awesome...'let's show mom how well you write'....and he's working on writing his numbers 1-7...and he's saying, 'mom, look'....and oh my goodness, typing this out made my eyes well up...all I can say is praise God. :)

So much more than you ever expected and he's only just beginning to show you what he's capable of.
That gift just keeps on giving!

Hi Bun.
Hard readjusting to reality, yes?

Bleh. Reality stinks.

She thinks she could. She has such a reputation for picking on teachers, and babying her soon-to-be 14 year old son. She even bought a tupperware, lined it with cotton, for him to carry his graphing calculator around in.

The kids all went to the movies last weekend together. Most were just dropped off and picked up. Not her son - she not only walked him into the theater, but even sat with him. My kids would have died of embarrassment!

Yow!

That's just sad.
He's gonna need therapy.

Major therapy.

Stock up on Windex. :D
