Thanks. BTW... did I tell you that Marc's gotten a pseudo-job offer in St Louis??

Yeah... and it worries me. It's SO not like him. He needs a new job. :(
No...He did?! What's the psuedo-job? And that would be AWESOME if you moved here...btw.

Yeah...I'm sure it's stress from the job that's causing it. Stress does that so often.

A doctor he worked with at Hopkins got his residency, attending??? (or whatever you call it) at the hospital there, and wants Marc to come out and do whatever he did for Hopkins out there. Nothing official yet. Just a lotta talk. But I don't know if it'll pan out or if it'll be enough, or if I want to relocate several states away. But it is very reassuring to know I've got a friend there already

You've got a great friend here! :) And an instant baby-sitter.

That sounds really cool though job-wise. I hope no matter what happens it all works out for you.

Anyone still here? Had to get supper out of the way....we've had snow here all afternoon, but nothing substantial in the way of accumulation, just a lot of blowing. I think we might have an inch or two. Really tired of it though. And my throat keeps getting coated and sore in the evenings and I keep getting dizzy when I lay down.....

((Hugs)) Jo - I'm sorry you had a rough day.

I'm not sure what our forecast is...Abby is going over to my niece and her hubby's house for a NYE sleepover for the church youth group...we have to pick her up on New Year's by 8 a.m.....or I do...Mike has to work Friday. But he does have NYE off. :)

Better than nothing, I guess!

More boyfriend dramas, I take it??

:brick: I can't really post what I'm thinking, because she does still occasionally peruse here, but yes. I'm also noticing the hair that I pick off my clothes that I shed are more white than brown these days. And yes, I think the two are related.:brick:

((HUGS)) Sigh... I know that's gotta be tough. Those years are brutal. :(

Jen I was Abby's age once and I know you were too, and it's a confusing time not only for her but for you too! It's really tough because you're being pulled in two totally opposite directions, and I know you know that but just remember that whatever you went through at her age take it and multiply it like 10x's over and it's even worse than when I was her age about 10 years ago. So Jen, please don't flame me for this, but cut her a break from time to time cause it's hard being that age...:o

I remember them....and I didn't handle it any better. Like I've said in the past, my closest friends didn't come for me until my college days. And Mike is the only guy I ever dated. So I don't see where either one of those would exactly be encouraging to her at her age. Patience has never been one of her strongest traits - and she comes by that honestly. I still struggle with it.
So Marc has a possibility of a job out in St. Louis? How does he feel about that?

I would never flame you hon  ....it's just hard seeing your kid suffer and know that time and maturity are the only things that heal that.....you still wish it was easy enough to kiss and put a bandaid on it.

I haven't got there with my DDs but I am going though stuff with my son that I am really stressing about. I am also shedding my hair lately also. I know stress is doing that also.:cry::cry:

Yeah but you're very lucky she has a mom like you, I love my mom and she was always there for me but unfortunately from about 11-13 my grandmother was passing away and she was kinda lost herself...but if you want to PM me about the boyfriend thing if you want a 20 something's year old perspective as to what to do...:kiss:
