Good morning everyone! Another 2 hour delay here today, so it was nice to actually sleep in a little bit. My leg is not as sore either, so that's good - I can climb steps w/out wincing. :)
In other news, Joel is going for the first time to the dentist today. I know many of you are probably  at that, but we've tried in the past to have our regular dentist look at him and he went into full autistic meltdown, which he rarely does. So I asked around and found a pediatric specialist up in Canton that has experience working with autistic children, and we're giving it another try. Feeling quite nervous. :dazzle: Please no meltdowns today!

I'm sure it's quite difficult to hear him scream and have a meltdown like they are hurting him...:(...maybe you'll get lucky today Jenny and this particular dentist will be able to keep him from melting down. Now just out of curiousity what gives him the increased ability to work with an autistic child?

Aw. :( That's such a bummer about the CM. Such sad news when it happens to anyone.

Yes, definitely.

I'm still in shock over the incident. I can't believe it happened to her- I'm really going to miss her. :(

I know. I am still in shock, too. Our kids love her and we always looked forward to seeing her when we visit WDW. I can't believe she's not going to be there next time. :( I really hope things work out ok for her.

Experience - one of the moms who gave me his name has a son who's a little more severe on the spectrum than Joel, and she sang his praises. If you knew her, you'd know that's a rare thing.
I was talking to another mom also, and she said they have chairs that are more like beds and TVs on the ceiling, so they can watch videos while they look at the teeth. I think our biggest challenge will be getting him to hold still and listen, and keeping him calm.

Good luck w/Joel today, Jenny.
Thanks Kristin - I appreciate that.

Ahh yes, distraction that'll definetly work in your favor in this situation. You definetly need some prayers and good vibes sent your way Jenny, I will do my best. :animwink:

I'll be thinking of you today Jenny. Hopefully everything will go well with the new dentist. :)
