Hi there...

Joel did all right at the dentist, but they found 4 cavities.:cry::cry: One of which is bad enough they have to do an extraction of the tooth - it's a baby one. In order to clean, seal, do x-rays, and remove the one tooth, he needs to be put under general anesthesia, because of the autism. Don't know when it will happen, but I'm unnerved by my baby getting anesthesia.:cry:
OO Jenny, I'm sorry to hear that. But like Bunny said it might be for the best. Plus, sweetie don't you think you should do it sooner rather than later so the whole tooth doesn't go bad on him and he has to endure that pain? :(

FB... poor blog.. it's been kinda neglected since we've been down here.

Oh poor baby! He'll do fine! Heck, I'D rather go under general when I go to the dentist. So he's lucky in a way...

For all I know, it's already bothering him and he's just used to it that way. I've been pretty much playing a guessing game with his physical care since birth. He's just now able to tell me when something is bothering him, but even then I have to wonder sometimes if he's just telling me something because that's what he thinks I want to hear. :brick:

{{HUGS}} I'm sorry sweetie, I couldn't even imagine that. It would take an AMAZING person such as yourself to have as much strength in dealing with all the things that comes with having an autistic child. :o

I appreciate the kind words, but honestly don't feel like they're deserved....I've been far too reactive in parenting him, than proactive. Responding to problems that develop than heading them off at the pass, so to speak.
Sorry, I think I'm wiped out.
