It was hell!..but it was worth it all in the end..and I pray that it ends just as good for Owen and his parents as it did for us!

So many ups and downs...tears of happiness and sadness...cheers and scares..but in the end look at us now!..

He's my friendes son who was born last weekend at 23 1/2 weeks. He's 10 inches long and weighs just under a pound.

So far, so good. His initial brain tests showed no sign of a bleed, which is wonderful, and they've actually been able to give him some Mommy milk. He's not out of the woods, by any means, but for his circumstances he's doing well.

Well it's things like this and Maggie that make you believe in miracles!

Mom's out of the hospital now, so she and hubby are staying next door at the Ronald McDonald house. He's in the service, but has been granted a hardship leave so he won'[t be deployed for a while at least.

You can have it, since I think I will be stealing Christa's. :lookaroun

Hey now, if you're gonna be a real floridian you have go wait in the DMV for your plate with all the non-english speaking residents like the rest of us! :ROFLOL:

Yes, it was all pretty scary - she almost died on the operating table, and the baby was only given a 20% chance of surviving.

WOW, I hadn't seen the photo the other night when you posted it because my internet was not working correctly, but I switched to FIOS and have since had no problems. But I am very glad to hear that he is doing slightly better.

Any reason why you lost touch before?

Just going different directions in life... And she was in a relationship that I SO did not approve of. We were in college at the time, and she was dating a man 10+ years older than she was and had a 6 month old! We lost touch right after I got engaged... so that was about 7 years ago.
