So far, so good. His initial brain tests showed no sign of a bleed, which is wonderful, and they've actually been able to give him some Mommy milk. He's not out of the woods, by any means, but for his circumstances he's doing well.

That Mommy milk should really help him. They also say skin-to-skin kangaroo care does amazing things for preemie preemies.

Mom's out of the hospital now, so she and hubby are staying next door at the Ronald McDonald house. He's in the service, but has been granted a hardship leave so he won'[t be deployed for a while at least.

Oh that's good. And the RM house is such a wonderful thing. I've known of a couple families that have had to use them in different cities and they've just been wonderful

Yes,they're a real God-send. We have a platoon of parents at school who are sending them all kinds of stuff too (magazines, quarters for vending machines, food, gift cards, etc.), so they're both really overwhemed by it all. I think of Dana and Maggie all the time now, and how much they went through.

It was hell!..but it was worth it all in the end..and I pray that it ends just as good for Owen and his parents as it did for us!

So many ups and downs...tears of happiness and sadness...cheers and scares..but in the end look at us now!..:D

My prayers are with all of them Betty..please continue to let me know how they are doing and any updates...:kiss:
