I liked the show. I can see a Celtic rock band at any Irish bar at any city in America on any Saturday night. The lumberjacks were unique.
Actually, you'd be more likely to see a lumberjack show than a Celtic rock band in an Irish bar in many cities in America. I can't see either in my city in America though.

Good! Now if they get rid of that awful food and wine festival, bring back myaki the candy maker in Japan, bring back real cultural entertainment in each country, and dump that awful frozen ride, world showcase will be back to some good!

Agreed. Note, that the candy maker made the decision to "retire" on her own. However, I've seen some very entertaining artistic performances online that could translate well to that pavilion. For example:

"But I heard Dream Finder exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight, this show lacks imagination and will be eliminated tonight!"
Very imaginative :) Now, only if Disney would bring back Dreamfinder and restore Figment's personality.

Wait, do WDWMagic members not like the Food and Wine Festival? I thought I was well versed in all the common fan complaints. This one is new to me.

Not really sad to see them go. I give credit for them trying something new and different but it wasn't ever going to work or be a good fit.

Is refreshing entertainment like this at Epcot going to be a yearly thing for a lot of these acts?

Yes, when sitting in the Chinese Garden seeking a brief moment of quiet, I always enjoyed the sound of chainsaws coming over WS Lagoon.

I don't think it is the F & W fest per se by itself, but the drunken craziness that many people have run into while attending the same. Add this to increased crowds and it does become problematic. Marie

Food & Wine opinions are definitely split. Some view it as a money-grabbing pad for the park to avoid investment and others view it as a fun seasonal event that they look forward to and see it as something different to do every year. I'm sort of in the middle of it. I prefer Flower and Garden festival but to me they should make the park gorgeous with flowers like they do for the F&G all year long and can the name. I do think they've relied on these festivals for too long as "proof" the park is doing well, when in reality it needs a ton of help.

This is what they should have done last year with the lumberjacks. Cut them when the Voyageurs return and then figure out what to do afterwards.

I also think "Drunkytown" and "Drunk Fest" is a slight exaggeration though. It's not the park's fault people cannot control themselves. I mean, "drinking around the world" has been a thing for a very long time. A brawl will happen. A person vomiting happens. People act as if it's like some wild frat orgy where everyone is drunk and slurring their words and the park is trashed by the unruly drunks.
