Jazz Land and Six Flag of New Orleans were horrible parks..and I think that no matter what amusement park is put in New Orleans it would fail..sounds horrible I know but look at the history it has already with the two failing parks...:shrug:

Also, it says that they would try to draw in a regional population instead of a tourist population and in my opinion.and being from New Orleans..that is one thing that would make it unappealing to me....That is exactly what the other two parks drew in..locals and it was just a mess...sad but true.

build a floodwall? the place was inundated with 10 feet of water for weeks! I agree with Dana on the locals too. It's going to bring it right down the toilet.

We went there the week before Katrina struck...I never was a big fan of Six Flags...just doesn't compare to WDW. Though Six Flags Great America was better than the one in N.O.:shrug:

We went over a couple times with large groups of kids . . . it was all right, but hot! So hot!

I agree that to to be appealing, it needs to have more of a regional draw as opposed to catering primarily to locals.
