I love how they have all the reporters on the coast in raincoats overdramatizing a bit of much needed rain. It's like they are desperate for news. It's not like there aren't important things to report about our failed state government. They should be exposing our elected officals instead of telling us where to get sandbags every 5 minutes.

Thanks, but it looks like we will dodge the bullet on this one, the water levels are low and have only come up a bit since this morning.

You are right about the other one Dennis. I am debating though, whether to make a reservation for a hotel just in case we need to leave. We should know more this weekend. I'm praying we don't have to cancel our plans for Disney like we had to with Francis last year. We leave in 10 days.
They say that Dennis is going to reach hurricane status.

Yes, its the media's version of Fear Factor. I couldn't believe that people were buying water in mass droves at the grocery. Its just a tropical storm.

I don't get where they get off saying that they know it's track and what level of storm it will be...you can't know when it's that far out.
It could hit cuba and become just rain...you don't know.
But I'm heading west, screw what they have planned, if a hurricane heads here, I'm going west, f*ck them. lol

The first year my wife and I were married, there was a minimal hurricane coming toward Louisiana. She worked part-time at Hobby Lobby in Baton Rouge while she was completing her Master's Degree. She came home with two oil lamps, enough fuel for the lamps for years and a bag of "D" batteries. I said, "What's all this for?"

She said, "A hurricane is coming!"

I laughed.

Total damage done: our garbage can fell over.
