Well, hi everyone, and thanks Micbat and WDW1971 for the PM's. I'd have responded sooner, but I didn't think to check my messages. I live (for a few more days... ) in Reserve, LA, next to La Place. Now 3 people know where that is, I'm sure... Since this threads been everywhere, I might as well catch a few of the drifts. I WAS an LSU student. I've been swayed by women (always the case...
) and am moving to Indiana. Nothing against LSU, though, great school. And Micbat! Wish I'd have known you were in Kirby! I was there fall '02!!
Now.. about those snowballs mentioned earlier. Yes condensed milk is offered, but has anyone had a "Love Nest"? It's soft-serve vanilla ice-cream halfway up, then snowball to the top (strawberry is the best).
I can't speak cajun, but I know a few words (I'd list a couple, but knowing how to say them doesn't mean I can spell them). As for calling cajuns "french"... Not the ideal thing for me, but I don't wanna be called "creole" either. Acadian is perfect.
And about the "Geaux Tigers" that's plastered over this thread... no offense (actually no defense ) but.. *ahem* ROLL WAVE!

I don't think many other people were driving to the Superdome to watch the wave last season, and driving all the way out to Tiger Stadium right after it was done. Lotta football in one night! The tragedy came during my college program... it was in fall '02... Tulane vs. LSU, and I was stuck working at WDW! Outta some devine intervention, I was able to catch 870AM after work that night, so I heard a little of the game.

I pick up 870AM here in East Tennessee on clear nights...
I was on the 4th floor... 407?.. 408?... somewhere around there. Had so much fun that I transferred to Pentagon the next semester. Now I've transferred outta LSU altogether.. But it wasn't the university's fault, I still think it's a great place. And trust me, living at Kirby will have prepared you well for Vista. You already will have low expectations :lol: . Actually... I don't think any other former CP's are here... but they were renovating Vista last summer. Good luck on the program! What are you in? (Operations, custodial, etc..) And Debbie, :wave: from St. John, but I'm not so sure about them Tigers... but I'm sure of one thing: GEAUX COMETS!!

I have never been but Richard and I are thinking of going in two years one week to New orleans to visit the Mansions and stuff like that ( and do the Midnight cemetary tour ) hehehe and then off to see the family in Lake charles for the other week we are not sure if we want to do it though ( during Madri gras ) lol
