I don't know. I've stayed away from reading any spoilers. But I'm going to guess... Sawyer.

I don't know.....I used to think Sawyer was going to die, but now I'm not so sure.

I think that Jin and Michael are going to die trying to get back to the island from the freighter. I know that before, the island was preventing Michael from dying, but since his "mission" to save the island will (according to my guess - I don't actually know) be fulfilled, maybe he will finally be able to die (his appearance was very anticlimactic after all the anticipation of waiting for him to come back, IMO).

As long as it's not Desmond, brotha :D

I wonder who's kicking the bucket? PLEASE DO NOT POST WHO, but you can post that you know.
Can you try to hide your spoiler a bit more? Even if it isn't true... I didn't want to read that.

I'm SUPER EXCITED about tonight! Though, I'm not likely to get home before 9:30, so I don't know if I'll have a chance to watch it all! :brick::brick:

I'm not going to spoil it before other time zones get to watch, but let me just say it was the best finale of the year, IMO, and also the best Lost finale ever....I cried several times - brilliant television :sohappy:

I can't wait and stay up for Westies -- SO

SPOILAGE!!!!!!

First of all, after watching Kate stop the car and go back to talk to Jack, I thought, THESE GUYS REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. The whole rest of the season led up to that point and it paid off. I would have been pleased with the show ending right then.

Besides that, fantastic episode.

Cracked up that only the "show cast" were allowed back on the helecopter. The rest of the folks had to fend for themselves with life vests.

Jin -- Still alive. He's floating along. They made sure to show the front of the boat NOT BLOWING UP even though Desmond said it would blow up an entire aircraft carrier.

How long will he go adrift though? Will it make him go crazy like Sun and attack the island?

Locke. Biggest screwup ever. How many chances is he going to get and mess it up? It started as a kid with the test. His hang up on his dad. Relationship with Peggy Bundy. Boone. Catching his leg in the door at the Swan. Being shot in the back. He screws up everything he touches. He's now killing the island??? Didn't the whole team give him a vote of confidence after Ben was gone? Bad guys gone too, but he still messes everything up.

Really?????

Honestly... I mean, don't get me wrong, please... I love the show, obviously, and I loved last night's episode, absolutely loved it... in terms of entertainment while watching...

however... I think it was easily the weakest finale for the Lost... which, isn't saying much considering how fantastic (IMO) all of them have been, so... I just thought it wasn't mind-blowing enough...

here are my thoughts, and please tell me how you feel about it...

I think the show has peaked... :zipit:

let me rephrase that; I think the show MAY have peaked....

Season 1 was entirely new and groundbreaking... it was a little slow looking back, but at the time is was so original and refreshing at a time when everything on TV was either reality or a gameshow...

the Season 1 finale was absolutely fantastic (not comparably, but... time-comparably it was... if that makes sense); like... the whole show was just laying the ground work... and then the people on the raft find the "others" on a boat... and they take Walt, and then Locke blows open the hatch... Russo steals Claire's baby... and again just the whole "others" thing was HUUUUGE then... it was pretty mind-blowing at the time... and left a lot to think about in the off-season...

Season 2 was an absolutely fantastic season... and then the finale was absurd... I mean Michael helped to have Jack, Sawyer, Kate, and Hurley kidnapped... and then we find out Michael and Walt can leave the island... "wait... just like that, they can leave the island... NO WAY..." Also, they don't press the button in the hatch... WHICH WAS HUUUUGE... the thing blows up and something bizarrely crazy happens... definitely mind-blowing (IMO)

Season 3... honestly... Season 3's finale and it's affect on its fanbase is something that no television show will EVER emulate... no way. There was simply nothing like that on television... ever... it was such an unbelievably incredible plot-twist I almost didn't sleep that night... and I called everyone I knew he watched the show... and even everyone who didn't... I was so blind-sided...

plus... i HATED charlie... couldn't wait for him to go... but the way they did it was unreal... I was actually sad and it was just an incredible scene...

So... then last night... I was hiiighly entertained, definitely... the show flew by... i wanted more... but at the same time.... eh...

there were things we already knew going into the episode that happened and therefore weren't very crazy... I don't know if some people haven't scene the episode yet, if they haven't... they shouldn't be on here to be honest, but just incase...

*****SPOILER*****

We knew Jin died... we knew that... I mean you could argue "we didn't know 100% whether he was dead or just still on the island..." but... basically we knew he wasn't gonna get off that boat the whole time that scene played out... which just kind of ruined it. I loved Jin, and so I was really sad about it... but I knew it was coming... not entirely like Charlie where Charlie kept escaping death, and you figured he'd eventually go, but you didn't know... we were told Jin died so...

We also knew who the six were so... you knew when Peppitis (spelling?) said "i wish we were 200 pounds later though..." why 200 pounds???? why that number... regardless... you could figure... immedietely... Sawyers jumping out...

Locke being Jeremy Bentham and being the guy in the casket AS THE SHOW PROGRESSED became apparent to me too and so... while yeah i feel like "okay, so Locke's dead... how??? why??? did he do that intentionally... will ben get back too? even though he said he can't..."

I don't know... I'm not trying to sound like I'm complaining or like I'm disappointed... more or less what I'm saying is... I feel... pessimistic??

Like I said... I fear the show has peaked... that's all...

I really would like to hear some other's thoughts though...

I agree with some of what you are saying in your post, but I thought that last night's episode held its own when compared to past season's finales. I, for one, already can't wait for next season to start (8 months and counting ). I think they left us with a whole new bunch of unanswered questions that I can see playing out beautifully over the last two seasons of the show. I read a few different articles and watched a couple of interviews with the writers after watching last night's episode and I think the best is yet to come for this show. I know I am not really giving much detail or providing an argument as to why, but I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't watched last night's episode yet.

I would still take an average episode of LOST over anything else on the television today. :sohappy:

I agree 100% with those two statements... definitely...

The more I think about it to and read some site (lostpedia.com... where I got the Panoptican/Jeremy Bentham thing) I'm beginning to think more about last night's show and find more interest in it too...

another interesting little tidbit i just read about...

(we've know about Dharma since Season 1... no idea why i just wikipedia'd this... so this may not be news to anyone... but i found it interesting...)

From the wikipedia site for Dharma (not Dharma Initiative)

"Dharma is present as a central concept, that is used in order to explain the "higher truth" or ultimate reality of the universe."

okay.... maybe I take all that back because this just made life a lot more interesting...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panopticon

(read the part where it says who came up with the idea of "panopticon")

Hmmm.....very interesting.

My DH and I have decided to re-watch Lost on DVD from the begining of Season 1 in order to get our Lost fix until next season.

I think it is going to be very intersting to watch everything again knowing what we know now.

The show ending with Sawyer walking out of the ocean soaking wet was breath taking!! What happened to everyone else?:ROFLOL:

Just kidding!! It was an excellent show last night!

I hope Jin is still alive, that was pretty heartbreaking to watch. Did Hurley say "checkmate" to Mr. Echo? Is that what I heard? And whose name was he not allowed to say out loud?

Spoiler to anyone who didn't see it and is reading this... but to answer your questions...

Yeah he said "checkmate Mr. Echo"

and he started say "Bentham"

as in Jeremy Bentham...

who is John Locke
