Maybe Rousseau stabbed her by sneaking up from behind, wrapping her arms around to the front/Shannon's heart (hence no screaming). Then, Ana Lucia tries (and maybe succeeds) in shooting her.

Any thoughts?

They are connected, Jack was rushing off to Sara..remember in the first season i believe...he meets sara (his future wife) in the hospital and she comes in because she hit a man (a car accident) and the man she hit is shannons father.

I did know about Jack's wife and Shannon's dad being involved in the car wreck.

I was over at the Lost official message board and read that the actress that plays Shannon wanted to go onto other things, like a movie career, but that could be a rumor. I do not know this sure.

I don't know if any of your guys ever go over there and read, I have found out about some things that I have missed while watching, little things in the background one might miss.

I would say probably not on that rumor. even if she did want to leave the show for movies, she probably would never voice an opinion like that. You don't leave a show that is one of the top rated/most watched shows with a character that has been central to the storylines.

Example-Rob Lowe when he left The West Wing to star in a run of tv shows that I can't remember the names of.
