Losing Things on Rides

I have heard of all sorts of things being lost on rides at WDW. I wanted to know what all of you have lost.

I remember about 7 years ago, my sister bought me a Buzz Lightyear action figure. She then proceeded to ride Tower of Terror. When the doors opened and she dropped, Buzz decided that he'd take a test flight out the door. Poor Buzz. :( My sister talked to a manager later on and got me a new Buzz Lightyear. :sohappy:

So what did you lose?

I´ve lost my t-shirt... :dazzle: hahaha, just kidding! ;)

My mom had bought a nice set of wooden salad utensils that we took hoooours picking out in the African Outpost, and lost them somewhere in Epcot... I never asked for a guest recovery, but I got her another set at AK and we had not used them yet!

Nobdy in my family has ever lost anything at Disney but over the years Montu at Busch Gardens has claimed a pair of sunglasses, a pair of prescription glasses and a two way radio.

Lets see...
Lost a Disneyland cap on Dinosaur. Actually just left it in the net thing. Never did get it back.

Few months ago I lost my ID holder, full of my credentials and stuff, on Space Mtn. Dang jerky coaster snapped it right off my lanyard. That I got back the next day, though.

That's all at Disney, I think.
Though there was a nice Indiana Jones cap I lost on Magnum XL-200... :brick:

Back in '87 I dropped my Daisy hat on Spaceship Earth. It was one of those hats that the rim was a big plastic beak and it had big plastic eyelashes on its eyes. I cried and cried for days because I lost that hat until my Dad finally gave in and bought me another. :)

My 3 y.o. daughter lost her Mickey glasses (the kind that are sunglasses but open up to just be plastic lenses) inside WoL last year. We'd only bought them for her about an hour before. When we went back inside to look for them a CM asked us what was wrong, and we told her what we were doing. We didn't find the glasses, but the CM took us to the gift shop and gave her a brand new pair. That was an awesome Disney moment.

I was with my grandma on Buzz and I, of course was controlling the movements of us. Her pocket book (I don't know if that is one word) fell off the ride. A VERY nice CM stopped the ride to go look for it. He found it. The bag of Chex Mix didn't survive though.

I also lost my hat once on Big Thunder.

Every time we go my son loses a hat and we need to replace it. With a hat from WDW to protect him from the sun. We have lost a rain coat. I think we sould just wait to buy a hat there instead of waiting to lose a hat. :lookaroun  A Lanyard with pins. Never were found. Called lost and found after we returned and before we left. :(

My brother lost his sunglasses on Star Tours last time we went. He went back to look for them, but they hadn't been turned in. Funny thing is that my brother can't hold onto a pair of sunglasses for more than a week or two. He either loses them, breaks them somehow or gets hit in the face with a baseball while playing little league (he's the catcher).

Once upon a time The Kumba at BG ate my cel phone. I lost 2 brand new unvalidated annual passes a couple of years ago (Disney wouldn't help me even with a receipt...or AAA) My last visit someone helped themselves to my brand new hat, some candy and other small items as well as my camcorder bag- w/o camera but had 3 digital memory sticks worth a couple of hundred bucks while we were in the Living Seas. Because you can't take a stroler in we were limited to carry on only. At least they didn't get or digital camera or camcorder.

I've never lost anything other than a roll of used film. It fell out of my bag while changing rolls or getting out my park hopper or something. I was mad but luckily it was at the beginning of the vacation so there was time to go back and replace some of the lost photos.

Also my mom lost her hat on Splash Mountain once. But the cast members in the photo shop (my coworkers) replaced the hat for her.

Back in 1990, I lost my favorite hat on a bus going from Epcot to the Caribbean. In 1996, my dad lost his NY Rangers hat on Splash Mountain, right on the main drop. In fact, the on-ride photo showed him looking backwards for his hat.

We still haven't found either one yet...

I've lost....
All sense of reality...
All my adult fears...

But, I found...
my childhood tendancies...
great joy in the reactions of my children...
fond memories of years past.

(sorry to turn this thread into sentimental mush. )

My backpack once leaped off the boat in the Mexican pavilion at EPCOT (Undoubtedly due to the extremely high speed of this ride :hammer: ) and I nearly took a swim in El Rio Del Tiempo, but I retrieved it myself.

Good times,,,,Good times.
