Losing Things on Rides

My dad almost lost all our MVMCP buttons on Space Mountain. He had them all in his shirt pocket and they went up and then down really quick on the ride and they all flew up out of his pocket, but all came back down and landed some in his pocket and some in his lap. Amazing!

My Uncle a few years back lost his $100 sunglasses on Buzz. But was found after looking through every ride vehicle for about 20 minutes.

My son left his beloved peter pan sword in one of the doombuggies at HM.

We told him we would get him another as we exited the park that night and went on with our day.

Right before the park closed we went for one last ride at the HM and as we were entering the part where you exit the ride we saw that the castmember who walks the moving walk way had the sword in his hand and was using it as a part of his scary guy schtick!!

Of course, when we explained what had happened, the cast member was happy to give it back to our son!!

My son is always losing hats there. One time I bought him a cool sorcerer Mickey hat in DT Disney and he lost it with in minutes!

My husbands favorite is his $40 hat. He is soooo cheap so this was a big deal for him to buy the hat. He went back and forth over several days before he finally gave in and bought it. The next day he let my son wear it on the bus and you guessed it--he lost it. :hammer:

The worst though is my daughter's prescription glasses. She goes through several pairs a year and it drives me crazy! 2 years ago we were in the Land at Epcot and we were right near the boat ride that goes through the crops and she got mad & whipped her glasses right into the water! We tried desperately to get them back but never did. We have never found anything we have lost there. We have heard a few bus drivers joke that if you lose anything just check EBAY in the morning and I am beginning to think that is true!! :lol:

Once we were standing near the monorail and my cousin was wearing my aunt's hat. She let it blow off her head and almost in front of the monorail. Luckily, my other cousin is taller and he managed to grab it out of the air before it went to far over the fence.

Another time my cousin who was wearing the hat got a slurpee and put it down on the fountain side. She wanted to put her purse down so she got a brilliant idea and put the purse directly on top of the slurpee and it spilled all over. (Smart) Of course it was probably like 5 dollars so she didn't get another one. Muahahahaha! That'll teach her not to hit slurpees with purses.

Finally, my other cousin rode with me on ToT and he dropped a few pennies. Luckily, I spotted them and gave him back one of them. :lookaroun

At one of MK's E-ride Nights last week, 1ststarIC2nite left his cell phone on BTMRR. He got it back though, after a long search.

My husband has lost pins off his hat on Space Mountain a couple of times, and this year my daughter lost a hat on Spaceship Earth (left it on there,) but when we went back to ask about the cast members very graciously came up with it. Thanks whoever turned it in. :kiss:

Lost a coke on MS. It was in the souviner cup from AKL. It had a lid, but I forgot what G-force does to liquid. Poor backpack.
