Losing Things on Rides

My friend lost his baseball cap a few seconds after the initial launch on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. We reported the lost hat to the CM at the exit as well as the front desk of our hotel (to give them his mailing address) and a few weeks later he got the hat back in the mail, albeit with black track marks and grease all over it. That'll teach him not to wear his hat on the thrill rides and think that Disney coasters aren't wild enough. :)

Oh I almost forgot! My dad lost his wallet on the bus back in 1988. The funny thing is that he and my mom were traveling separate. Us girls stayed to shop while the boys went back to the room. My mom sat in the same seat and saw the wallet. She thought it looked like his and as she made her way to the driver to give it to lost and found she was shocked to look inside and see that it was my dads. He really got lucky that day.

I´ve lost my t-shirt... :dazzle: hahaha, just kidding! ;)

And your next trip is when ?? Sorry, couldn't resist !

I did lose a pair of cheap sunglasses on Space once. That's the last time I hung them from the front of my shirt. I would love to see the floor at Space at the end of the day.

my friend once lost a squeeze breeze on Primeval Whirl, the 1st turn came after the lift, and it fell to the ground below, we DID get it back, probally cause i know someone who works at Primeval Whril.

I lost a sweater on Songs of the Rainforest at RPW. I went once, my first time, waiting for some friends who got on the train behind me, so, i went on, left my sweater in theature 5. Lucky enough, when my family showed up, theature 5 was the only one with a green light. and there was my sweater! about 30 min. later!

About 15 years ago, on BTMRR my mom was wearing a visor and it went flying off her head.... a buddy of mine and I were in the car behind her, and I reached up and caught it out of mid air. She was sooo mad at herself afterwards (I kept it hidden) and wouldn't stop talking about it, until I finally put it on and she noticed it about 5 minutes later.

A few years after that though, the first ride of the day was at Splash and a brand new Seattle Mariners hat came off of me. The worst part about it was that I could see it when we walked around front. The bill got stuck in between 2 rollers at the bottom of the long drop, so every car that day rolled over that thing as it sat in water.... needless to say I didn't ask for it back.

We didn't lose anything on either of our trips but on our first visit my hus dropped the video camera while trying to juggle it, and the stroller and boarding a parking lot tram (I was juggling the 3 kids). It went crashing down but seemed to work after that...

until we got home and discovered that all of the tapes we had made on the trip wouldn't play properly. They recorded but there was no sound on most of them, and those that had sound had a picture that jumped...and that was back when you couldn't get a good camera for under $500.

So all of our first trip's videos were made into DVD's with Disney background music but no actual sound. Kinda stinks, but at least we have TONS of great pictures and some video was better than none. :hammer:

I also lost my tigger ears on spaceship earth once. On the descent they just slid off my head. Luckily my grandparents were in the seat behind me and they caught them. Well actually, they landed on their lap.

I lost a pocketful of change on Space Mountain when it fell out of my shorts and was all over the seats of the car. Of course the CM's helped me retrieve it so i could spend it somwhere in the park It wouldn't have been a big deal but it really slowed things down when we tried to collect it all. Oh well. :)

One of my friends lost there wallet on AE during Grad Nite. Since the place was packed with a bunch of 18 year olds, going crazy and having fun, it never showed up. I am sure somebody purchased about 80 dollars of Disney stuff that night thanks to him.

Yeah I agree. When I worked in the Splash photo shop we used to get all kinds of lost hats turned in that had been lost on the ride. A lot of them were really gross from being in the water and filters and stuff. They're a common item to lose. In the park I currently work in, our most common item turned in to lost and found is hats lost on rides.

One of the first times my family and I went to WDW my daughter lost her hat. It wasn't on some scary thrill ride it was The Great Movie Ride. Sounds crazy, huh? The part where they blow bubbles on the riders she leaned back to pop some of the remaining bubbles and the hat slid off her head. She cried the remainder of the ride and balled her eyes out for 30 minutes while we waited for someone to stop and get it. That is her favorite hat in the world and I think a funny story to go along with it.:)

All in one trip, my sister lost her glasses in MK, my brother left our video camera on a table in AK, and in MGM some kid picked up my nephews backpack by accident. We got everything back. We were pretty lucky.
