Are you talking DCL only? Disney will not be releasing early 2016 until later this week which puts you 15-18 months out depending on which dates you choose.

Yes only DCL. in the past you could do an on board rebooking and keep bumping it down the line indefinitely and still get the discount. Then last year they said you had to travel within 18 months of the original date you booked the cruise. Now they've changed it to 24 months so you could make a reservation while on a cruise on 10/30/14 for April of 2016 but then change it to October 2016 and still get the discount.

We booked onboard a few months ago for us and my mother in law. Once we got back we then booked another room for my mom, without a discount. My mother in law may not be able to make it now. Will we be able to cancel my mother's ressie and put her on my mother in laws ressie and keep the same price and OBC?

Will anyone in the room stay the same? If someone else stays in the room it will be easy. If not, it's going to be a little trickier.

Well, when we booked onboard it was just me MIL. My TA advised that we add my son to her reservation to make it a bit cheaper, which we did. My son will stay on the room, so the answer to your question is yes. I hope it works. The $350 onboard credit would be great to have.

Great! If your son is in there they should be able to work it! Just make sure they do a name change and not a cancel and rebook. You should have had a $100 or $200 OBC on there that will stay.
