From another site it appears that you can now book a cruise 24 months in advance! Good news, just wish they had changed it last year!
I'm sure a TA member can confirm.

Yes only DCL. in the past you could do an on board rebooking and keep bumping it down the line indefinitely and still get the discount. Then last year they said you had to travel within 18 months of the original date you booked the cruise. Now they've changed it to 24 months so you could make a reservation while on a cruise on 10/30/14 for April of 2016 but then change it to October 2016 and still get the discount. Are you talking DCL only? Disney will not be releasing early 2016 until later this week which puts you 15-18 months out depending on which dates you choose.
You are correct, @durangojim. You now have 24 months to move your onboard dummy bookings and retain the discounts which is great news! There are still some blackout dates.
This is such a bummer considering we just cancelled our Wonder booking because the cruise we want next September fell after the 18 month window!!
We booked onboard a few months ago for us and my mother in law. Once we got back we then booked another room for my mom, without a discount. My mother in law may not be able to make it now. Will we be able to cancel my mother's ressie and put her on my mother in laws ressie and keep the same price and OBC?
Well, when we booked onboard it was just me MIL. My TA advised that we add my son to her reservation to make it a bit cheaper, which we did. My son will stay on the room, so the answer to your question is yes. I hope it works. The $350 onboard credit would be great to have.
