Sorry if this is posted in the wrong thread

I was wondering if there are any shops down here that sell souvenirs/disney items for pets? my kitty had an incident while we are away and my daughter would like to bring home a bunch of disney stuff for the kitty to " make her feel all better" Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen pet items in the past at:
The Emporium- MK
MouseGears- EPCOT

These are the places that I remember. I don't own a pet, so I don't usually pay attention to those items.

I saw a limited number of pet items in the World of Disney store at Downtown Disney Marketplace at the start of May. They seem to have greatly cut back on the offerings compared to the past.
Good luck!

I had luck getting treats and toys for my dog and cat in the shops on Discovery Island in AK. Don't waste your town looking in DTD- when I was there in May they didn't have anything different than park/resort shops.

There are pet items usually sprinkled all over some of the larger all-purpose gift shops. I know that on Main Street, the Emporium on the left side of the street has pet dishes and collars, along with treats.

There is also a Disney at Home store in Downtown Disney that might have stuff.

I too am looking for Disney dog stuff (you'd think they'd have a wider selection- I'd love to get my dog mickey ears rofl!)

What I saw was 'meh', but I'd look all around. What I remember seeing was only in Star Traders, so maybe I didn't even see it all.

Hopefully you find what you're looking for!

If my memory serves me correct I believe that the shop inside the old firehouse on Main Street has pet items.

I wish I could remember more details, but there used to be a little place at DTD with pet stuff. If I remember correctly it wasn't exactly a store, but not exactly a kiosk either. It was outside another store in what seemed like it was themed to look like an alley.

I can't remember which store it was near, or even whether it was really outdoors or not. I'm afraid it's been quite a while, and even if the details I remember are correct, there's a very good chance it's not even there anymore. I'm only posting because it might jog someone else's memory who could then maybe fill in the blanks, or let you know if the place is no longer there.

Update: Ah, found it! Several references via Google to a store called Disney Tails at DTD Marketplace, near Pooh Corner and Disney At Home. Most of what I found is from when the place opened in 2004. None of the links were from official Disney World sites, which leads me to believe that it is probably gone after all. However one of the sites is a Disney Family site, and includes a phone number. The phone number is 407-824-4321, and it's not clear whether it's for Disney Tails specifically, or the whole Marketplace. Should be able to tell you what you need to know either way, though.

Here's the link where I got the information:

There was a Pet store by the Pooh shop in DTD, don't know if it's still there. I think POP's gift shop had a good selection of pet items, but I can't completely remember, so if you're staying on property, perhaps your hotel gift shop has something.

We found Mickey ears at MouseGear in Epcot for our dog. Also found pet food & water bowls along with a place mat to set them on for him at the gift shop in Pop Century. I specifically remember that Pop Century had bowls for both dogs & cats. Good luck!

Tails has been closed for sometime at DTD. They have a few things here and there in the different gift shops. I want to say we got our dog a chew toy inside the gift shop at All Star Movies.

My wife I scoured the parks for dog merch on our last trip and our only real luck was a kiosk inside the Downtown Disney World of Disney Store. One of the cast members told us that since Disney Tails had closed, the merch we found there was all the same through all the other stores, and was itself rather limited.

We bought Pixel, our solid white female Boxer, a pink 'Puppy Princess" collar & tag, which she proceeded to remove, destroy and devour in less than a week.

The actual pet merchandise is VERY limited. Each time we go we pick up a plush for our lab instead. She has quite the collection going (Sully & Mike, Figment, talking Crush, talking Dug, Stitch, talking alien) and especially loves the ones that talk. Her favorite is the talking and vibrating alien from Toy Story.

On our last trip we brought home Dug for her. The first thing he said when we pushed the talk button was "are you a dog too?" It was priceless!

Our last trip there was a rack of stuff in WoD at DTD. When I say rack, one of those that is maybe 2-3 feet wide and like 5 feet tall. It was just past the castle display on your way to the room with the pens and stuff. Once side was dog stuff, the other side was cat stuff. Not a huge selection, but that was the largest we saw while we were there.

disney has the worst selection of gifts for pets, everytime I go I look for stuff for my dog, there is always the same crap, the cheap chewable toys that dogs break within an hour, the same dog dish thats in the emporium (with pluto and friends faces or something) is found everywhere else.. the only thing I have ever bought my dog was a pair of mickey ears, which dont even work right and snap off way too easily... sigh I have given up trying to find things for my dog at disney... maybe next time I'll just buy a buttload of hannah montana and jonas brother stuff to make up for it?

World of Disney, souvenir section of the store, on a stand near the antenna balls. The selection is limited, dogs on one side, cats on the other.

inside The Land at Epcot, before you go downstairs to Soarin', there is a machine that engraves your pets name on tags to put on their collar. We got a Mickey shape tag for our male cat, and a Tinkerbell style tag for our female cat. The tags have our cats name and our phone numbers on them. They look great and protect our pets if they get lost.
