Okay. I am really sorry about the Spelling thing WDWFREAK53. I don't take jokes easy, so I didn't realize it was a joke. I am really sorry. Alrrighty then! Back to the Worlds of Disocvery idea. I have desided to scratch it and start all over. The name, though, is still Worlds of Discovery and it is no longer going to be a Disney park. It will be my own. I will post my new ideas when I get them done!:sohappy: :D :) :sohappy:

What are we supposed to respond too?!?

The fact that you are going to start over but keep the same name?!?

That tells us nothing, worthy of comment

Post these "new ideas" that you have then there will be something for us to comment on

Okay. When I said I am going to start all over, I didn't exacly mean ALL over. I am gonna just redo a lot of it. The parks Millennium Central, Fairytale Kingdom, and Frontier Town will be combined into one big theme park called Discovery Island. Frontier Town is now known as Wild West. Fairytale Kingdom is now known as Fantasy Cove. And, last but not least, Millennium Central is known as Tomorrow Town. I am gonna work on some rides and attractions for it and post them later! Also WoD Sports Company is gone, slashed, toodles, buh bye, chow, cherio, aloha, shalom......:animwink: The hotels are Worlds of Discovery's CIVILIZATIONS Resort, Worlds of Discovery's Twin Pines Lodge, and Worlds of Discovery's French Quarter. Tell me what you think!

No hard feelings...I just didn't like the fact that you played the "Contributor Card"
Don't feel, if you see me around, that I'm the Big Bad Freak or something...

Now...back to the thread at hand.
I like most of your ideas....although...I'm looking at this and see too many similarities to WDW. For instance...

A hotel called French Quarter...I believe WDW has one of these...with the same name.

Twin Pines Lodge was taken from BTTF (That's the name of the mall)

I like you "Civilizations" idea...and I would really like to hear more on this one...it has a lot of potential!

Tomorrow Town...sounds too much like TomorrowLAND

I think you catch my drift...I'm not being negative and saying your ideas stink...I'm just giving you some criticism...that's all :) (Really though...continue on that Civilizations themed resort!!!)

Okay. Tomorrow Town changed to Future City. French Quarter back to its old name Antebellum South. Twin Pines Lodge is changed to Hickory Hill Lodge. CIVILIZATIONS will be a hotel based around ancient civilization. The main ones it will be themed to are the Greeks, Romans, Mesopotamians, Aztecs, Ntive Americans, and Aborigines. There would be 1,200+ regular rooms, 34 suites, and 128 home-away-from-home houses. The regular rooms would be separated throughout five different buildings. Each building would have a differnent Civilization to be themed to. The 34 suites would all be in one large building being themed to the beauty of the Greeks. The pool and recreation area would be themed to the ruins of the Romans. There would be broken pillars, walls, etc. The pool would seem as though it is formed by ancient walls and fallen pillars. The hot tub would be inside of what looks like an old temple. The ceiling would have over 60 holes so that no matter were the sun is at in the sky, light comes in and shines on the hot tub. The spa room would look like an ancient clay or scucco home with, what looks like, a thached roof. The restuarants would be in the bottom story of each of the buildings that the rooms are in. Each restaurant serves food kindof like what that Civilization would have eatin. The food courts are located near the pool, along with the shops.

I really like that resort...(The names for the "lands" of the parks are better too :) )

Here's a question for ya....(just a thought...your resort is awesome as is...)

Why not change the "resort" idea into a park?
Ancient Civilizations spawning off of a hub which is a collaboration of "present-future" human life. Just a thought.

(I like the idea of the ancient Romans and you could have the "ground" be the first "roads" )

Very nice idea :sohappy:

(Another thought would to be to take each one of these "civilizations" and turn each one into it's own resort)

I don't know about you but I can already see a "Value/Moderate/Deluxe" status among them.

Deluxe Resorts:
Greek themed
Roman themed

Moderate Resorts:
Aztecs
Native Americans

Value:
Aboriginees
Mesopotamians

I actually thought about a park themed to ancient civilizations, WDWFREAK53. Although, your idea for a hotel themed to each would just be too much. I did forget to mention, though, in my last post that each theme would have different prices. So it would kindof be like six hotels in one. Also, Thanks for the complements on the new names! I still haven't finished the rides and attractions lists. When I finish those, I will post them!:D

Imagineer Boy spells fine. I have no trouble AT ALL reading his spelling and posts. Now leave him alone about it. PLEASE!:fork:

:lookaroun Umm..... Wannabe Walt, I didn't feel offened or anything about the spelling thing. I knew WDWFREAK53 was kidding, but I just got annoyed with the spelling alert. It kinda disrupted the thread and got off task a little. Sorry about that.

Okay. I have really made some major changes. One: IT IS A DISNEY PARK!!! It would go somewhere in the mid-west. Two: I have some photos of some awesome things. These photos would be used as rough drafts for ride facades and stuff. Three: New rides, shows, restaurants, etc. It has had a major rehab. Four: New name is Disney's Land of Discovery. Five: There are three total parks. (There would be more added in phase three) The three parks are Magic Kingdom, Wonders of the World, and Animal Kingdom. Six: There are three original hotels. They are CIVILIZATIONS, Camp Wilderness, and Old Port Royale. I will try to post more later tonight! Tell me what you think!

You really need to stop lifting names of things that already exist like Old Port Royal considering that is the central area of the Caribbean beach resort. Also that and AK would not work in the midwest unless it was texas due to snow you could not have topical plants and animals form warmer climates all year round, well at-least outside I guess.

Also hold back on the park number other than WDW the most other places have is two, start with that and I would say cap yourself at three max, WDW is a complete different set up it is already an international pull so it can build allot of theme parks anything central in the country would not pull nearly as-well expect form surrounding regions.

He didn't lift names...Magic Kingdom...it has a nice "ring" to it doesn't it? (Psst...WannaBeWalt...there's only ONE Magic Kingdom...the rest are called Disneyland (insert place here) )

FigmentDream is right about the Animal Kingdom...(unless it was completely inside and you could simulate the environment)

FigmentDream...did you like the "Lost Civilizations" theme? I for one see a lot of potential.

Okay. After I posted Animal Kingdom I really did think about the climate and stuff and I was gonna post a change for that. I couldn't because I didn't get home from town until about 10:00. So, I am posting it now! Animal Kingdom is GONE Also, Old Porte Royal sounds more Caribbean doesn't it?!?! I was going for more of the Port Orleans type of hotel so slash that hotel. But, replace it with Disney's Cape Cod Resort. It, like the name says, would be themed to old time Cape Cod. I think it could look kindof like the picture in the mext post! I'll add words cause there will be more than 1 picture. Tell me what you think!

Well, I'm more interested in hearing about what you theme park ( Magic Kingdom ) has in it. Why don't you do your hotels after that? It would be easier.:D
