Alright I'll kind of work on throwing that together...maybe I'll post it tomorrow...
^^sounds good
Here's a very quick and crude sketch of what I was talking about. With this type of design, we'd probably be able to include an aspect of every idea mentioned, and we may be able to add some rides that a Main Street wouldn't normally have...

And the posibilites are endless too! We could include a Hollywood Blvd, we could include a New Orleans St, a New York St, etc while still keeping the original small town Main Street USA in place... (Obviously we'd have to choose only a few lol)
What a great idea! Here is a full lists of landmarks I generated from your ideas:Going along with Comics101, I believe I have a small attraction that we can tie in with his idea of combined streets, ( ie, liberty street etc )
I also read the idea of making a mock independence hall.
Heres my idea. Somewhere in the new Main Street, we build a miniature "Great Places in America" attraction. This is not an attraction, simply a plot of land that we build small models of, well, great places in america. Meaning, landmarks, and tributes.
Like, some ideas
-The White House
-Independence Hall
-The Arch
-Statue of Liberty
-etc,
These models wouldn't be huge, maybe a little bigger than the average person. It wouldn't take up a lot of room, and would perfectly fit in the new map , comics had made.
Please feedback, and comments!!
Quick sketch on it's way...
But basically like a circle with statue of liberty in the middle, and all other monuments around it. Walking room between monuments and liberty.!!!
Feedback!!!

- The White House
- Independence Hall
- The Gateway Arch
- The Statue of Liberty
- Washingtom Monument
- Lincoln Memorial
- Spaceship Earth
- The Alamo
- Empire State Building
- The Golden Gate Bridge
- The Space Needle
- Mount Rushmore
- Niagara Falls
- The Grand Canyon
I like the idea...spaceship earth is not a great landmark in the national sense in my opinon...but whatever Idc really haha! It is for all of us Disney fanatics!!
And BTW I'm thinking about making a blog for our team so it would be easier to share/comment on ideas and etc? Anybody interested?

One thing I've witnessed, ( if anyone else has add in ) is that the streets are sometimes too small in big crowds. My idea is that maybe we increase the width of the Main Street. Not a lot, enough, for that one a very crowded day, not everyone is breathing down your neck.
Just an idea, easy to add on to any other idea.
Rather than expanding the street, what if we do something like they have in Paris, where because of the cold, they've added themed "hallway" type structures behind each building on Main St. It's almost like a mall. I'll see if I can find some pics...
Here are some pics...
Discovery Arcade- http://www.photosmagiques.com/gallery/disneyland_park/main_street_usa/discovery_arcade.php
Liberty Arcade- http://www.photosmagiques.com/gallery/disneyland_park/main_street_usa/liberty_arcade.php
edit: They call them "Arcades". Really, they're sorta shortcuts to Frontierland/Discoveryland, but they're heated/airconditioned. I know I said they're behind the buildings, but I think I lied hahaha. I'm actually not 100% sure where they're located, but I don't see why they couldn't be located behind buildings... Of course each would be themed according to which side they're on. For example, the one closest to Liberty Street would be themed similar to the Liberty Arcade in DLP...
I'm also thinking, that if we were to include these, rather than models of famous landmarks what if we made "look out points" along the hall way with what appeared to be a full scare replica. So you could walk onto a balcony and see all of the mall in Washington DC right in front of your face... Does that make sense??
