Disney needs to get that License for Bluey in the parks and they will strike Gold.
Don’t disagree. But, what does it say with all of Disney’s IP (original and recently acquired) and the billions poured into D+ that their best chance at enticing young families is licensed content like they’re Universal or Six Flags?

This was the Disney Parks standard all the way up to Avatar so I don’t see it as a bad thing in the vein of Six Flags, imo.

Toy Story Land was the perfect place to have multiple flat rides. They would have worked thematically, and it would be a much more efficient use of the space versus how poorly utilized that area is now.

I'm not really sure where they could put flat rides at EPCOT other than in the World Showcase pavilions, but that would feel like a waste of the attraction spaces.
Agreed on TSL.

At Epcot, there is a small pad in front of Rat that can’t be used for anything bigger than a flat. Otherwise, World Celebration could use some kinetics according to some. The garden behind the Rat bathrooms that is really only visible from IG is pretty but could fit a flat and nothing else. Last option is behind the Anna and Elsa M&G. Already stole a pavilion plot for that anyway…

I get that flat rides aren’t the sexiest to market, but they built a ton of attractions in the last decade at DHS and only included one flat ride (and it gets long waits because they other two Toy Story Land rides are frequently down or on reduced-capacity, driving up their wait times and pushing guests to the final option).

Disney should really consider more custom flat rides. There are a ton of styles that go beyond Dumbo spinners. I wouldn’t go full Pixar Pier, but sprinkled around DHS, Epcot, and DAK would be nice. Maybe find a way to avoid paying $100 million for each one, too…

Just some thoughts on smaller attractions in DHS and EPCOT:
  • Bulldoze Star wars launch bay and connect it from LM to RNRC. Theme it is as "animation avenue" where all of the 90's movies are represented.
    • Put in the Aladdin carousel from Tokyo
    • Add a LM jumping jellyfish next to the little mermaid theater
    • Lion King C ticket in fantasyland style
    • Pocahontas story time in a small forest area (similar to enchanted tales with belle)
    • Retheme RNRC to Powerline/a goofy movie
    • Hercules carnival games
    • Mulan/Mushu starter coaster (like barnstormer)
  • In Epcot, some cheaper rides
    • Mary Poppins Carousel in UK
    • Japan, Big hero six happy ride with Baymax from Toyko (but indoor behind the pavilion)
    • Morrocco, Sinbad ride from Tokyo
    • Germany, give snow white her C ticket back
    • Italy Pinocchio C ticket
    • China, could put the mushu/mulan coaster here. Or just make a dragon flat ride like the slinky dog spin in Hong Kong
Can't waste attraction space if there's nothing there now...

The Sinbad ride from TDS is epic and beautiful...and sadly the scale of attraction we may never see again. That would have been amazing in the currently empty Morocco pavilion... a little bit of a re-theme Re-open Restaurant Marrakech and the Souk areas back when they were full of merchandise... it would certainly reinvigorate the area....and they would sell a ton of Chandu plush...

Sinbad is basically a 200ft x 600ft box. It would fit in so nicely between Remy and Japan:

Lucasfilm license predates the acquisition of Lucasfilm. MGM/GMR was licensed. Twilight Zone is licensed. Company was in the running for the HP license. I don’t think licensing out intellectual property is a problem; using it as a crutch is.

I've often looked at the Animation Courtyard area and how they could create a pathway for guests to to Sunset Blvd.

For a small walkway it wouldn't be too difficult, other than there's an employee cafeteria in the same building as the Disney Jr. show.

I think they should at least move the cafeteria around, maybe put it behind the Launch Bay or take up part of it and get that walkway over there. It's a minor thing but it's such an annoyance to have to go all the way around to get to the back of Sunset Blvd.

Edit: and yes, I was a contractor for WDW and have been in that employee cafeteria and the backstage area several times

They have that whole Halcyon building for offices and an Employee Cafeteria...just sitting there and equipped with a commercial kitchen...ready to go.....
