Living Character Initiative...

My understanding on the Mr. Potato Head Curtain is that it's put up when he isn't working properly. This can be a normal technical glitch, or if he drops his ear or something.

I've seen this happen and it's hilarious. People expect him to pick it back up.

Aw Wall-E looks awesome!! Thanks for posting those links. I didn't think he'd ever appeared anywhere. Too bad for the tech issues - would've loved to see him! I'm excited to see Remy on my next trip.

Where can one see Wes Palm?

I have not heard of this one.....and i would like to check it out in September.

Most of the time he is around the entrance to Animal Kingdom, mainly over on the left as you get past the turnstiles.

There is also a "Push" in Rafikis Planet Watch. He is not named Push, but it is the same thing (Garbage can) I can never for the life of me remember his name, it means somthing like "recycle" in swahili or something like that.

As an aside, I heard the best line from Push a few days ago. He was leaving Tomorrowland over the bridge into the hub and he is rolling along and he says "Wow, this green mile is sure a long walk" - Poor Push, who knew he was up for execution :)

So what is LCI in its fullest manifestation, Crush/Monsters or MML/Remy?

Or is LCI just a broad term that includes any type of character that has some form of audience interaction?

I don't think Roz or Mr. Potato Head count as LCI products. They work off pre-set lines that a CM pieces together to personalize rather than having the CM talk right to the guests.

So is Roz/Mr Pot Head controller an equity performer or is it an operations cast member and giving the animatronic lines just part of the rotation in the attraction?

My favorite Living Character, although not a product of the initiative, is Colonel Suchbench, late of the Adventurer's Club. Best incarnation of a living character yet.

I think I heard that the Stitch to be used in Tomorrowland once the stage gets completed will be LCI as well. Is that correct?

And I Potato Head usually talks from pre-recorded lines, but I've heard some stuff that I was pretty sure was live -- he asked "the little girl in the orange shirt" if she had been on the ride before. Either he was live or they recorded some random combinations of boy/girl shirt color.

All of Mr. Potato Head's lines are pre-recorded. There are many different lines that can be used to single out particular Guests based on what they're wearing

Yes, Mr. Potato Head, and anything that interacts with the audience using new technology is a part of the Living Character Initiative.

I was going to add the same thing, as I believe he is part of LCI, along the lines of Crush and Laugh Floor. Should be interesting considering it's not a self-contained environment like the others. Probably won't come close to the same amount of interaction given the large amount of guests and area involved. Just my guess.

I don't know. Have you seen the latest pics? http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=422726

It's looking pretty self-contained.
