Live Trip Report: Shookie at WDW

Okay so I thought I would follow up the PTR with a LTR - a Live Trip Report - What I'm going to TRY to do is just give you some what interesting updates from the parks and our day.

So something from day one -- We landed today at 9 am and were in unpacked in our rooms and at the parks by 11:30am.

so let's start with this:

This was an interesting part of our first day.

OMG! You trip report people are killing me with the food pictures! ;) :) I must make sure to read this stuff right after I've eaten!!!

Welcome to the "I Was Evacuated From Splash" Club!!! Did they wait about fifteen or twenty minutes and then come tell you that they were having technical problems with the ride? ...And then kind of wait for a response...that is my personal favorite part. I'm not sure what they expect us to say. "Really? I hadn't noticed!" I just nod. A guy behind me said, "No poopie." We'll, he said something to that effect. :)

I like Channel Six for local news/weather in the morning. Channel 2 is not my favorite local news channel, but if you like tabloidy news, that's the one. It's my sister's favorite. Says she wants to move to Orlando just to watch WESH, lol. Just FYI there, in case you're interested!

Good stuff! Loving the "real time" reporting. I'm also now craving a red velvet cupcake for some reason. As for the teenagers, I found this poster that I thought you would enjoy...

Tina says hi...chow down at Ohana last night...we could barely walk when we left! Delicious as always.

That's almost exactly how our evacuation played out.

HAHAH...no beer stains yet..mostly because I'm drinking in my room with my shirt off.;)

Looking forward to Monday brother.....hoping to christen one my shirts with a beer stain while your in attendance.

I like the way you think....Oh and we were drenched in so much of that liquid pixie dust the other day we could have flown to Neverland and back 3 times.
It was POURING.....NOT that we noticed..we just got off of Kali and the skies opened up so no harm no foul.

Ok so a couple of notes from today. It was a Universal day... I know I know. ;)
But as some of you already know they do do a few things right...and this is one of them:

LOVE this stuff. As a family of of four...our count for today was 7...we couldn't stop.
Ok as I said before I'm TRYING to keep LTR to extra little tid bits etc..while still attempting to post something each day. Now not everyday will hold something extra interesting but today was something super special for my daughter that happened at Universal. I know this isn't Disney related but bear with me.
Hopefully I can set this up properly...

The reason we started visiting Universal was because of WWoHP.
This is something very near and dear to her heart and mine as I'm the one who introduced her to the books and read them all to her night after night right up until she was old enough to read them herself. Once that part of the park was built it was a must see. This year was our second visit.

We were on our way out of the WWoHP on our way to grab a bite to eat..when my daughter grabs my arm and says.."Oh my God..Dad...look" I turn to look where she is pointing and I see a rocker looking girl with bright red hair..I recognized her right away as Hayley Williams the lead singer of Paramore. Some of you may not be familiar with her and the band. They had a couple of hits a few years back and appeared on the Twilight soundtrack (don't hold that against them) but she is my daughter's musical idol and it just so happens that it was the first concert I ever took her too.

Needless to say this was an amazing moment for my daughter. She's in Hogsmead (holding her collector Weasley wands she just purchased) and runs into her hero!
She was EXTREMELY nice and gracious and was kind enough to take a moment out of her vacation to take a picture with my daughter. My daughter was actually able to keep it together...that's after a couple of "I'm freaking out" "Oh my God...I'm freaking out" but she handle it well. Here is the pic:

She had just purchased her Fred and George collector wands, and is standing in Hogsmead and talking to her hero..

We spent the rest of the trip back to WDW trying to relate this back the rest of the family.
Mine: Me riding the TTA with Paul Mccartney
My Son: Meeting Mitch Lucker at a Halo tournament
My Wife: Meeting Sarah Mclachlan on Soarin'

ANYWAY sorry for the deviation away from Disney...but I thought that moment by be interesting to some.

Off to Cali Grill for dinner.
Tommorow: Back to Uni for another day and then tomorrow night is MNSSHP.
Hoping to catch up with @derelicte19 for a meet greet.
