That’s why discounted Tuesday Matinees were my go to movie time, cheap seats and far fewer people in the theater making noise.

Pre-kids we used to go to dollar movie theaters. They always had movies from a few years ago. It was quiet and dark. Usually the bum sleeping in the corner of room wasn't snoring to loud.

Yeah, I think Menken was asleep while the other two wrote it and slapped his name on it. His work on the Spellbound song they released sounded great, so I know he's still got it.

Sounds like my Dad…. Since I was a kid…. There was many a time going to the theater as a family we had to elbow my dad cause he was snoring embarrassing loud

Seems like he just lets the new guys take over. It was the same with TLM, all the new songs sound Lin Manuel Miranda. The only remake that had new songs sound like Menken was Beauty and the Beast.

Sounds like nearly all of mainstream news media, most of the “gotcha” clips they use were originally minute long comments clipped down to a few seconds to completely take them out of context.

This is true for all of them, they use faux outrage and bait headlines just as much, and in some cases are worse, than the rage bait YouTubers.

There are plenty of good, sober news sources that don’t do this at all, and they’re really not difficult to find.

And I agree with her sentiments about certain voters but I (and I suspect she) don’t take it so literally. I think, much like with George W Bush, it took the majority of Americans too long to realize he was wrong about Iraq. That’s not to make a political statement, but to compare then and now. I believe many voters this time around are taking too long to wise up, and will live to realize that eventually.

Wise up to what…? Insinuating I and others are unwise for voting the way we did…? You snarkily referred to me as trying to be “clever”, now this…?
The guy that was voted in was already there for 4 years and the world didn’t end.
I mean, who wants to go back to a secure border, low inflation, low fuel prices, low energy prices, low interest rates, low unemployment across all demographics, no major wars in the world (both of which are on the precipice of escalating into something much worse)…?
Considering how messed up things have been for too many citizens over the last almost 4 years, most of those of us who voted are willing to take that chance.
The guy that won is now left with a total mess that he and his administration have to try and clean up. Nice “smooth transition”, Joe n’ K.
Funny thing is, if he had won last time, he’d now be on his way out, and the other half of voters wouldn’t be losing there minds, but instead dancing in the streets…!!!

Yes, I was that dad too, more often than I care to admit.
I always sat in the aisle seat, with my wife between me and our 3 kiddos, so she kinda’ blocked me and took care of the elbowing…!!!!!

If that isn’t a political dig at those of us who voted a certain way, I don’t know what is.
Either way, I’ll leave y’all to yourselves, as I’m never going to see this movie anyway, and the rest, ultimately, doesn’t really matter, in the grand scheme of things.

Back when Snow White had a group of bandits instead of Dwarfs I thought they resembled the friend group from Wish, and I didn't understand what exactly was the difference between the two movies.

Looking at their 2025 slate here are the movies + my prediction:
- Snow White (flop)
- Lilo & Stitch (moderate success)
- Elio (flop)
- Freakier Friday (moderate success)
- Tron: Ares (flop)
- Zootopia 2 (huge success)

MCU:
- Captain America: Brave New World (flop)
- Thunderbolts (flop)
- The Fantastic Four: First Steps (success)

Other:
- Avatar: Fire and Ash (huge success)

Even at the 50% success that you're predicting, some of which I disagree with you on, that is still better than 2023.

The only two unknowns in my opinion are Elio and Snow White. The rest I think will depend on how good they are, but more likely to be varying degrees of success.
