Littlekitten's Monstrous Trip Report

Well hi folks, this is my first ever attempt at a TR so you'll have to bear with me if I get anything wrong . So sitting here by the pool, at our fab villa, writing this as everyone else is asleep!!!

Yesterday was our first full day here, and so we headed out at 7am in search of some sustenance, we decided to head up to the Golden Corral at little lake Bryan, and as always it didn't disappoint.

From there we headed up to Florida Mall, for a little bit of retail therapy, my 10 year old and 13 year old had money burning holes in there pockets . So my son brought his 1st pair of Oakleys,
and my daughter hit te make-up and Aeropostale, old navy, and a&f and ..... You lot know the score.

Then we stop for a quick bite at Charleys, and then headed back to the villa for a quick swim in the pool.

I'm so sorry about the bad experience! Rainforest is a chain over here that can be truly hit or miss but always over priced.

It's funny we ate at Rainforest in AK for her birthday in 2011 and it was awesome, but this time well, I was really ... Lost for words... I unfortunately won't be going back. She said she enjoyed it which at the end of the day is all that matters

Day 8 - 30th May - Aninmal Kingdom
Started the day off in style at Kona CAfe - Whoop Whoop. However after pulling this face I think my DH really needs his French Press

Ever get the feeling its going to be one of those days?

so we arrived at AK

It wasn't as busy as i expected it to be. Which was nice.

And as it ahd been so wet the day before we decided that our DD could wear her birthday hat and button again and have a re-do!!! little did we know what was coming!!!

We headed off up to Kilimanjaro Safari as we have only ever done this once we got straight on which was awesome. The animals were all out and about which gave us some really good pictures. God my poor bottom!!!! i'd forgotton how bummpy and jarring it is. But it was just such fun and our driver was really informative and funny.

After the safari we headed on the ASIA our favourite area, however we stopped halfway down to have our pics taken in front of the tree, (must utilise the photopass) WE then went on Kali twice goo we were wet!!!

Then headed of to Everest, our favourite ride, and for the 1st time our DS went on it and then had to go on it again, saying why haven't I done it before!!! To which my DH said because every other time you were acting like a girl!!! LOL needless to say he didnt find it funny. WE did though.

We then headed on round to Dinoland which was still really empty and the kids managed to get on all the rides they wanted to do, which kept them amused

So after all the fun of the fair and obviously the weather was closing in we rushed round to Dinosaur and had a trip back in time!!! Thank god we saved that dino, Ethan was so scared another 1st and apparently last time on this ride lol!!!
Then it was off to Tough to be a Bug, a real family favourite. but i swear if i find out which bug poked me in the back ....... It was so hard i had a bruise!!!
Then everyone decide they would like a ice cream so we walked up the way a bit grabbed a cone and walked the Discovery Trails something else we'd never done. Then off to Camp Minnie Mickey for autographs. While DH and M-in-L went for some retail therapy.

Half way there the heavens opened it got so dark I thought it was nighttime but we perservered. Slickers in hand we trugded on, only then realising I had everyones slickers on the stroller even those who werent with us But on we went anyway. We waited patiently in line

We got to see Chip n' Dale and King Louie and Baloo. But then it started to thunder and Lightning and when that happened they took all the characters away. With 2 very disappointed children we made our way back to the tree to find the rest of our party it was raining so hard by then we gave up and went back to the car.

We had a Teaks for dinner and then headed of to HS for Fantasmic, but first we had 3 goes on RRC, and aTSMM

God he beat me again!!!!
then totally satisfied we grabbed some drinks and a snack pack and some toasted almonds and headed up the hill to watch. It was just as good as I remembered. When it was all over 4 very tired peopled headed off home after a very hard day
