I agree that attractions should be in sync with the them of the park.I think we're going to have to agree to disagree on this point. The more Disney builds attractions that don't fit with the theme the less cohesive the theme. Eventually, one ends with a mish-mash like HS. AK could easily change from one of the most cohesive-themed parks in the world to just another amusement park with some animals thrown in.
The problem is that a theme park mimicking an active studio (DHS), or a theme park mimicking the technological advances of a World's Fair (Future World) were no long viable themes.
This left DHS being a mishmash of 'ride the movies' (tho, props should be given for keeping a Hollywood-thru-the-ages theme throughout most of the park).
It also left Future World no longer built by corporate sponsorship willing to keep updating their pavilions. And so, we get a generic mishmash of "let's celebrate" in old Future World (tho, props should be given for World Showcase keeping its theme).
And of course, MK was already a mishmash of themed lands in which almost any themed attraction could find a home.
This leaves DAK as the torch bearer for a park that has a coherent theme with all of its attractions fitting in that theme -- mostly.
People can argue about how well something fits or not. But it should fit somehow. A reworked Indy story dealing with animals, and an Encanto trip thru Antonio's Door could work well, IMO. As well as a Lion King ride.
