Limited-time meet and greet with Belle at the Magic Kingdom's Heritage House starts soon

Kids like happy meals too, but they don't have to have one to enjoy being at the Magic Kingdom... Just sayin' ...lol
Not saying my daughter needs to meet Belle to enjoy MK, I'm saying that it's nice to be able to have a proper M&G with her now. There's been plenty of complaints of not being able to meet rare characters and when MK does give the option now, they get blasted because it doesn't conform to opinions. What did Woody and Jesse have to do with Splash Mountain or Chip and Dale in Frontierland/Tomorrowland?

The point is they were out and available to interact with the guests.

They should have added a proper meet and great in the Castle in addition to the story attraction, Belle doesn't fit thematically in Liberty Square. At least Princess and the Frog was set in America.

Exclusive M&Gs for PhotoPass customers isn't that offensive, not really worse than the Visa card exclusives but it does seem an odd choice of character. Also I assume the UK tickets that include photo downloads would work for access.
Agreed on this...the majority of people that have passes now already have the PP option. I'd venture to say more people will have access to this M&G than the Visa M&G.

Im sorry - are you calling Belle a rare character? When she has a multi-room purpose built facility to placate the toddler set as well as Epcot, AND character dining???

Sure am...any character that you don't get to interact with is rare in the sense of a M&G. Pinnochio, 7 Dwarfs, etc. are all considered rare because you don't get to meet them. Why do you think people wait hours to meet the 7 Dwarfs during MNSSHP?

Belle is not a rare character. She has the character experience in MK at Enchanted Tales with Belle, She meets regularly in France at Epcot, she also appears at most if not all Princess character dining.

Epcot M&G is fine if you don't mind her being in her country dress and the experience with ETwB is fine if you don't mind just a quick picture without much interaction. I believe the last time we ate at Akershus back in March she was the initial character you saw before you were seated...but that's not very accessible to most folks.

Belle being in her formal dress and accessible in a normal M&G is a win.

I'm not asking any of you to agree with me, but IMO, this is great and just another character experience my family gets to enjoy.

Just how desperate is TDO for money????

Makes you wonder how long the utilidors, which were built in part to keep characters from popping up in inappropriate areas of the parks, will last. Maybe TDO is going to re-theme them as a restaurant/gift shop or something. :p

Well...they do already make money off them for the Keys to the Kingdom tour lol.

Your lack of standards (except how Belle is dressed) is music to TDO's ears. :p

And a money-grubbing, crass exploitation of guests and a violation of theme, which Walt Disney himself abhorred (and is why the the utilidors were created) is just A-Okay with you, huh? I'm glad TDO will successfully pick your pocket for this. Have fun.

I dont often throw this card out, but this truly is pandering to the lowest common denominator and its why we cant have nice things.

I'm not gonna lie, I had Memory Maker on my last trip because we traveled with family/small children and we definitely would have done this if it had been an option. That said, it's a horrible idea and I wouldn't have approved it if I was in charge.

Enchanted Tales is such an elaborately created womp womp. What a waste of space, money and effects.

Is she meeting outside in the gazebo where Tiana was? How do you have a character out in the open and then tell kids they can't actually meet them?

WDW has replaced its audience.

I bought a replica Declaration of Independence here once. Instilling a lifelong fascination for legal and historical subjects, and colonial architecture. Now you meet random, unrelated toon characters for a vast upcharge fee.

From day to day, in short term thinking, it makes sense to replace the demanding audience. Others pay more for less.Although what really should've been done is for Disney to have kept WDW as the upscale resort, and to have build the crass carnival resort elsewhere. To serve both markets.

All we can hope now is that WDW will be turned into a casino strip resort, replacing it's audience once more, even lower on the cultural ladder, just to spite the audience that lapped up the previous destruction of WDW.
('.....but let's face it...nekkid Ariel making out with Belle in that mudbath in DAK's Asia is fun for our group, we happily part with $500 for that upcharge event. And besides, there has always been mud in Asia so it fits theme wise')
