(For the record, a constantly moving line is far more enjoyable, especially when you out - but obviously takes the same amount of time ... But you feel like you make more progress per minute of wait)
Im not denying some people may “enjoy” that better. Others may prefer to lean ona. Railing for 5-6 minutes to relax and recoup maybe eat a quick as opposed to crawling to the finish line

Do we really need certain people to defend DAS abuse in this thread? It was changed for a reason. That reason was it was abused. Get over yourself and stop making every damn thread about your DAS defending.
Had zero to do with the fact they needed to free up space to sell these premium packages at all…and FTR i was approved AFTER the changes more than once for anyone who is or has implied my situation was bs regarding DAS… so im not “defending” it i simply said way back when certain changes could have been made without imploding the system

To be clear. That is something Len posted in another thread
True but remember Disney’s business model includes selling access to the LLs. Len also posted this:
I note that if Disney's numbers about DAS abuse are to be believed, 3 out of 4 guests in the Lightning Lane are not paying for it. Which means all the revenue Disney's got over these last few years is coming from 1 in 4 guests.
And this:
Let me put it this way: I was told on Tuesday night that there was genuine concern that when Tiana's opens in June, a plausible worst-case scenario would require almost 100% of the Lightning Lane line to be dedicated to DAS.

You can imagine the impact to everyone else in the park.

And I was reminded about the ADA: "They're guidelines, not a suicide pact."

@lentesta Could you please clarify for those confused the percentage of guests with DAS using the LL before the changes? Thank you!

We estimated, by counting people get in line every minute for hours on end, that up to 70% of guests using the LL line were DAS users.

I’m reasonably sure the average usage was in the range of 30-70% of all LL guests, depending on the popularity of the attraction.

I ran the range 30-50% by Disney for a newspaper article and said I knew it was conservative. I asked if they’d dispute that. They said they would not.

I know documents exist that show usage near 80% on some rides.
