Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Okay yeah. But the pay rides aren't on Genie +.

I need to know this, going in April 😂
So I looked back at my screenshots that I took. You can for sure ride the same ride twice with genie + if you get a lightning lane “select experience” redemption.

A lot of my other re-rides are with DAS pre brooking and DAS redemptions. You can for sure use genie + and DAS to ride multiple times.
I have 2 family members that are eligible for DAS and I always bring one with every trip. This is something they would never be able to afford on their own, so I don’t feel like it’s abusing the system. However I realize not everyone is unlucky enough to have DAS eligible family members or be able to cover the added expense so it’s not something I can suggest.

How am I bragging? I’m simply sharing what tactics worked for me.

I forget how insufferable some posters are here.

No wonder people don’t share stuff here very often.
How can you blame people when new “facts” keep popping up? Your initial post on this was about using Genie+ and the “refresh” system to get multiple rides.

Then when questioned about it you added you “believe” you can only get one ride each on Genie+ but there are some general ways around that rule without saying you used any of them.

When people questioned what you were reporting in that post, suddenly DAS pops up - which has nothing to do with using Genie+ or any refresh system.

Your posts on your experience are quite confusing. Don’t blame people for questioning your “tactics.”

Look I have seen posted here MANY times about how people purchased genie and only got 2-3 rides.

My whole point is if that’s the case you are doing something very wrong.

This is one of the busiest time of year and genie is working really well IF

1. You don’t mind the cost

2. You don’t mind spending a substantial amount of time on your phone.

I would estimate 10-20 minutes of refreshing per ride.

TOO MUCH WORK. It needs to stop be simplified. Less people using it and you wouldn't have to do all this. IMO you charge $120 a person per day and you would eliminate a good chunk of people using it.

They don’t care what makes it easiest for the guest. The care what makes the most money. I’m sure if they thought they would make more charging $120 per guest that would already be the price.

They are slowly heading that way. It started out at $15 and quickly rose to $30.

We also have to consider that once it’s “common knowledge” that genie is worth much less for Epcot and Animal it would be almost impossible to sell at those prices.

I know they will never do it but switching to an Express Pass system would be so much better and simpler

Inside the Magic is the worst 😂
This article is about how back in June, you could no longer add Genie+ at the time you purchased your ticket. So January 1st moving forward, your only option is to buy it day of. That’s the article

My understanding is that the issues with Genie/Genie+/ILL are due to the fact that the system is still trying to “learn” and figure out how to act based on actual and predictive data. This is completely separate from Disney’s website or the MDE app itself, it’s how the data is processed and how its use affects user recommendations and itineraries.

In theory, the system will continue to get smarter and smarter, and work better and better to maximize profits, control crowds, and increase guest satisfaction.

But I’m not sure how long public sentiment will hold out. I still expect to see Iger throw parks guests a bone with discounts, coupons, freebies, information—something to incentivize continued use of this really frustrating system.

I can see that for Genie. Genie+ is a different thing completely and there isn't much they can do to make it better. There is only so much availability each day. There is only 2 options to make Genie+ better. Either price people out of buying it or limiting how many are sold each day.
