Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

If they do that at least one of the rides will be something that is either skippable or doesn’t need G+
I can see them using the old tier system to bundle the rides..........But, they can also price them accordingly

Meaning, 3 Tier 1 rides could be $50pp and then charge less for 1 Tier 1 and 2 others

I do. If they make it available for all rides then might as well bring back advanced Genie+ sales and FP+
Depends on how far in advance. There is no way this will be far enough in advance to be like FP+, that was a nightmare operationally for TDO. I know in the past people have mentioned about maybe “first day of your resort stay” or “night before a given day”…. I would think it would be more like that.

As long as it allows you to ride at any time.....That and 7am are the deal breakers for me

I disagree. If they let people book LL in advance they would have to let people pre-purchase Genie+. I can't see them bringing that back. They would also have to get rid of different prices of Genie+.

Even first day of your stay creates advance booking though.
Personally that’s what’s most important to me if it’s staying.

Not necessarily, it depends on how far advance we are talking here. Technically they could just do “the night before” and the operational impact would be negligible. Move G+ purchase time to e.g. 10pm instead of midnight and let people book their first selection then also. They could do that without really needing to change much.

Issue is that parks can be open at 10pm. Would hate to be getting on Pirates at 9:55pm and by the time I got off all the early attractions were sold out for tomorrow. I'm guessing 7am was chosen because no one should be in the middle of anything else parks related at that time.

Perhaps, but this is already an issue where people are taking out their phone while on rides in order to book their next LL as soon as possible. IMO this wouldn’t make that issue significantly worse than it already is.

It would improve things for all of the unhappy / non-“morning people” guests that don’t like having to get up before 7am though.

No one should take out their phone on a ride to book a LL.

Either do it after you hit the touch point before the ride or wait until after.

I agree with you, but the reality is that people are doing this currently. I don’t like that it is happening, but it is indeed happening.
Well disney shouldn't encourage it by making the initial booking window while a park is open.

Only 2 times to book that are acceptable to me is:
1) when parks aren't open
2)sometime before your first day of the trip
