Let's Talk Monorails...

Maybe the crooked paint on reds nose cone is a scar from its 1991 crash with that tractor. Google images. #Ouch!
I don't think so, I think that paint was done more recent. It was repainted after the Avengers wrap, if I recall correctly. That was about 5 years ago though, so if it's been like that for 5 years, that's sad... :S

ADA compliant monorails dont look near a cool, but they do work. (they basically run along a little road up in the air).
The catwalks are not accessible and are for emergency egress. The accessibility feature is that the floor of the train and station are level so there is no need for a ramp like at Walt Disney World.

I'm more than willing to temporarily share my new Monorails Uniform design... XD I find the new ones... bland.

I was told by a few disney employees a few weeks ago, that NOT only are they not going to replace them until driverless is running well, but once driverless is going well there is a strong sense that they will allow people to sit in the front/back cars again... that would be my favorite news of the last 10 years

Whether they phase in new monorails, or refurb the current ones for all of this is not clear at this time per the people I talked to. But a big push to bring that front/back cab being open to public is being attempted I've been told.

Yes
As long as the Monorails are in good repair and aren't totally unbearable to ride, I think they should be able to last for many more years. I mean, the New York City Subway is still running trains that were built in the 1960s!

Have you been on a New York Subway? Not exactly the magical experience we expect from paying several hundred dollars a night...

The monorails are already well past their expected life span.

Covfefe is code for solving the world's problems ;)
I can't deal with y'all lol

Honestly though, I know the trains won't be completely driverless, moreso automated. With this in play, there's more safety to allow guests in the front.

Sadly, I must interject. These trains you're loving on are far too large for the WDW system. The closest thing relatable would be the Las Vegas system, built off of the size of WDWs system.

I think they want to keep the driver's cab. Even though they won't do much, they'll initiate transit, doors, and watch as a safety measure.

While those full walkthrough trains look very cool, the size constraints don't allow for really any way of doing that. Not walkthrough anyways.

If you look at my Mark VIII plans, I mentioned half walls, dunno if it'll work.

Even if the new trains are not built by Bombardier, I'm sure the new ones will come with a Disney look and style.

1. My Mark VIII / Innovia 200 is an existing Bombardier design in the WDW/Vegas class size. With that, the chassis limits you to no walk-thru and you have to have a nose cabin just to look right. FYI: The Vegas cabin happens to be filled with gear and industrial looking control panel.

2. My point about Sao Paulo is monorails can be built if you want them. Money wise they cost more than ground rail transport, less than elevated rail or subway. If can't buy a swath of land to lay tracks you either elevate or dig. Monorail track is quickly constructed compared to elevated rail and cheaper.

3. Bombardier is a major builder of all tracked and flying transport, they have a lot of experience. Most of the past issues with Disney is rooted in Disney's micro managing "we know better than you" practices. Disney could order up a set of new trains tomorrow and only have to provide a signed check and drawings of how it should look.

Oh and heavens sake buy one of these, to keep them clean:
