Let’s be careful about the quotesLet's be careful about political posts here please, thank you.
Covid made a ton of people especially pixie dusters realize there are other places to go other than disney…That’s all I’m saying
The biggest threat to travel and leisure is a disruption to consumer confidence in the “real world”. It’s always the first/easiest thing to cut.
The fact they’ve kinda yo yo and never gotten back to their pre 2020 numbers in Orlando is a huge warning sign. People dismiss that far too easily
Nothing cures high prices like high prices. That was 2 days ago…
The only “boycott” going on is the prices are too high. Self inflicted wounds.
I’ve said it 1000 times and apparently it will take more: this issue is the price and driving customers away
Is it really or is it more to do with a diminished product shuttered attractions less entertainment & hours so on and so forth? If they execute these current projects flawlessly and that is a BIG IF numbers will come back like never beforeThat was 2 days ago…

Exactly so. Problem is that Disney does not have a great track record of replacing great attractions with attractions that are different to be sure but of equal or greater value. There are some but many more of the ones that flopped. One of the ones that hurt most for me was the termination of Off Kilter. The next act placed on that stage was a carnival sideshow of lumberjacks that someone literally found on the side of Route 192. Not from Canada, but from Florida. Granted most of Off Kilter wasnt from Canada either but they honored the culture and music of Canada with their art. The lumberjacks were an insult. They did get replaced after a short stint by a rotating lineup of bands who are actually from Canada. I have seen a few and while they are good, they didnt connect with me the way Off Kilter did. I'm sure that many of the members here can name other examples of a downgrade in the offerings. I will call that effect the “confluence of stupidity”Covid made a ton of people especially pixie dusters realize there are other places to go other than disney…
Whats crazy is of they would have ramped up expansion during this “reset” it would have worked marvelouslyI will call that effect the “confluence of stupidity”
Bob and Bob completely misplayed it.
The took pent up travel and free money as a greenlight to try to charge increasing retail prices to everyone in 2022…worked for a little bit. But knowing the planning Windows…it crashed behind the scenes HARD almost immediately. What you describe is the lagging response: people started to said no thanks ever since…
Because they came off like “Covid profiteers”…an excuse to implement ill advised concepts they had kicked around long before…
Cause and effect
Bob never understood that you build when there’s a lull…he’s an idiotWhats crazy is of they would have ramped up expansion during this “reset” it would have worked marvelously
Its actually sad because he literally has 3 of the most iconic IP’s & somehow has found a way to F it or at bare minimum barely capitalizing on it. People will pay and pay mightily. For some reason he is afraid if they expand and offer longer hours that will stop and its anything but. People will still buy ILL. People will still pay to skip lines. More people will actually stay on property if you reoffer some of these “free”Bob never understood that you build when there’s a lull…he’s an idiot
Mr tech mogul
I do believe they pushed it all out at the same time. We knew something was coming, so we caught it when it dropped.Good catch. I think that happened around lunchtime.
@Kingdom Konsultant Do you think it was always the plan to expand this from APs to everyone in 4 hours today?
Also exposed a ton of new guests to the parks via new free time and new free money.Covid made a ton of people especially pixie dusters realize there are other places to go other than disney…
Vegas misplayed the market so much they make Disney look “well run”at least Disney's not this bad (I hope)? https://www.foxnews.com/travel/las-vegas-visitors-shocked-crazy-costs-14-coffees-95-atm-fees
I was kinda surprised but havent been to Vegas in a while. $13 to 14 dollars for a coffee is a little nuts. Starbucks in Downtown Manhattan is running around $7 for the higher end coffees. MarieVegas misplayed the market so much they make Disney look “well run”
Anything that’s more than the upcharge at the Jon Bon Jovi rest stop on the parkway is a little rich for my bloodI was kinda surprised but havent been to Vegas in a while. $13 to 14 dollars for a coffee is a little nuts. They wanted to get rid of their base. They seem to have accomplished that. It just doesn't look the super wealthy want to vacation there. Disney may fall into that same trap.Vegas misplayed the market so much they make Disney look “well run”
