We are leaving on the 16 but will check in on the 18th. Now there is a low pressure system off in the atlantic. I hope it doesn't spoil the trip.

^ I'll be checked in on the 16th. Looking @ the weather.com 10 day Orlando forecast, calling for 60% chance of precipitation w/ Scattered T-Storms from the 16th-20th. Still will have a great time even with some rain!

Neat to hear another WDWMagic member being in the parks same time I will be. A pal and I are checking in on the 19th, doing a 4-parks 1-day self-challenge on Saturday, relaxing on Sunday and then back home after that.

Travel safe!

Me too!! I will be checking into the contemporary on the 18th for a 14 day stay. I must admit I must look at the national hurricane centre website twice a day to watch for bad weather.

eh, I wouldn't worry too much. It's rainy season and even though it says 60%, you may never see any rain.

I agree. I was freaking out because of Hanna, and it only rained once the entire time we were there (which was actually a nice break because it was hot every other day!)

Have a blast and don't worry about the weather. You'll have fun either way!!

I grew up in Florida, living first in Key West (1971-1974) then the Tampa Bay area (1974-1997) and can attest to the summers being rainy here and there. But, even in those cases, I still went and enjoyed the parks.

In regards to the earlier post mentioning the low pressure system in the Atlantic: IIRC that should be the broken up remains of Tropical Storm Josephine (for anyone that's keeping track). To be honest, I was very happy to stop hearing about her (usually when storms like that decrease enough in intensity) as I was expecting her to visit Florida same time as me.

:hammer: :sohappy:

We will be in florida on the 18th and checking in after a breif visit to my grandmas in ft meade. Hopefully when we check in on the 19th it will be sunny skies :) . Maybe if it rains on the 20th the lines will be shorter in MK:)

That storm has fizzled.

Looks like we will have fine weather after all. Everyone have safe travels and I hope to see ya real soon!

I hope you all have a wonderful trip. It probably won't rain a drop and if it does, just duck into a show or ride and by time you come it, it will most likely be done...

Yeah anytime I have gone to WDW its never rained ALL day. At the most I think it rained like 1 or 2 hours straight. I was there 8 days last Sept and it rained once while we were awake.

We went to Magic Kingdom yesterday and the crowds were very light. The longest wait was for Space Mountain and that was only 30 minutes. All other rides were less then 15 minutes.

I am checking in on the 19th at AKL. I too check the National Hurricane Center almost hourly! I already postponed our trip from leaving on the 10th because I thought Hurrican Ike would hit.
