Or THIS

But all of them go better with THIS - but it will cost about as much as a Disney Vacation
$10,025 + Tax

The idea hat lecellier is on par with longhorn is absurd. It is better than that in taste and quality, but still not prime beef. However, people are free to like what they like. After all, I have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in New Orleans, but I still enjoy Pancho's Mexican Buffett. I know, I know.
Yeah the Longhorn comments just so don't make sense!! Lol I miss our Pancho's:hungry: :cry:so your not alone and we are frequent visitors to New Orleans b/c we are only 2 hours away. Yes you can be jealous!!! Lol
So we know and grew up around awesome food and we still think Le Cellier is up there as a top restaurant, and still do even in all our travels like I mentioned in purely our opinion. On a side note Actually all of south Louisiana where I'm from has lots of delicious food and some of the finest restaurants!! Love my State and hometown. WHO DAT!!!! :)
i am in New Orleans. How,lucky can I be?

As much as I love my DD University choice, I'm still kinda heart broken she didn't accept the scholarship to Tulane. We both fell in love with the school and the area. Sadness. She is contemplating accepting a job for grad school at Tulane when she graduates in a few months. She is Toying with my emotions. I love NOLA.

Keeping fingers crossed for you that She chooses Tulane for her job!! She might though get annoyed at how often she gets visits from you though if she moves there, Hahahaha :joyfull:

I wish her, and you, luck. Except for the crime, this city is a charming place with great food, music, and awesome people. Given that, however, I would love to live within 30 minutes of the happiest place on earth. As much as I like living in Nola, I will take good ole WDW any day as my place of residence. (At least near enough to visit weekly)

Well, this is another reason to end my long-suffering love affair with Le Cellier. They were on my dining (every visit) list and I had posted somewhere else awhile ago that I think they were about to be sacked. They may not make it on my dining rotation list (places I visit every few visits.)

High prices, no more burger, other items I am not or were never crazy about. What is the point of going there anymore? I can make a variation of their soup or if I am in Epcot, do the walk up soup take-out thing that people have said they have done.

The best chain for steak IMHO is Fleming's. Mine is in Jersey but they are all over location wise. Great apps, sides, burgers, steaks and sauces, wines, etc....and expensive but not as bad as the Le Cel prices. Fleming's is the total package. They start you off with awesome bread and two dips: white cheddar/champagne and a sun-dried tomato tapenade. AND butter.... OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! And the Fleming's potatoes are the best side. Au gratin potatoes with cream, jalapeño, and cheddar. Fantastical!

Or I will just go to the little sister (Outback) the creamy and cheesy onion (Walkabout Soup) is great too. And they have some items that are delicious. You just have to pick and choose.

No worries...lol. Just had to point out my hometown, the center of the culinary universe. (Arguable, I know my New York and Parisian friends.)

Paris 'N Awlins Tossup for center of culinary universe changes day to day depending on dishes prepared, NYC - Not even on the map unless Trendy/Most Expensive are criteria for selection...

Yeah, we did think about the crime with the 95 pound DD yet oddly enough in the middle of the corn fields where my DD decided to attend school is this miniature urban area that has crime that unfortunately rivals NOLAs. Her freshman year was so bad that by the time she hit the semester after the break a whole new system of locks and swipe cards were installed in every dorm and locks on bathrooms and additional locks inside the showers. You would think corn and soy beans would attract crime.

As far as living near WDW her first trip of hundreds of days at our Happy Place was when she was 2 months old.
I don't know if she could work for the Mouse, she is too analytical but could work near. Her brother did work for the Mouse during college and then returned to the Mouse few months after he graduated college. She isn't one to follow in her brothers footsteps.

Where are you pulling that from? I believe they went to one menu, one price no matter if it was lunch or dinner.

Those prices I posted are on the off
Well look at this from the Disney Blog.

http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...ier-steakhouse-at-epcot-goes-to-all-day-menu/

and

http://allears.net/menu/menu_lcd.htm

nothing like conflicting information from Disney. :hungry:

Seriously! I should have taken a picture of the menu when i was there last week. I didnt look at the menu because i went to the F&w booth instead. And now i just saw those prices on the WDW website. What the heck??

Eh I'm glad we went once but we wouldn't go back. We'll save the two points for another place. The food was good but not AMAZING and we weren't into the basement/"Cellier" (dungeon) feel.

I actually like Le Cellier at the F&W. Some good soup, meat to chew, a good pavilion at F&W. And yep, What the heck Disney? But Disney has never been known for keeping their Web up to date. If I had to guess the Blog and All Ears are likely right. All Ears doesn't miss much, given the date they last updated was this month. My guess is Disney never updated after they went signature then to an All Day menu. I was actually a big fan of their burger at lunch. Oh well.

Were you ever there when it was a true cafeteria? Now that was a hole vs dungeon.

Chain wise it is a toss up between Fleming's and Morton's. The Morton's club - where I can walk in without a reservation and get the next table, and get a free cordial after dinner makes me lean towards Morton's. Outback - I would call that LC quality - like eating a bowl of salt.
