I made a stop at Le Cellier today on the off chance that a seat might have opened up. I was met with a "no you idiot look" and told that Le Cellier was booked through the end of June. They said the first seat they had was in July. I don't want to give the wrong idea, the staff was very nice. I just wanted everyone to know that you might want to book that seat a little in advance. The food did smell GREAT!

The food is great and yeah this is entirely possible!!!!! People have caught onto the idea of Adavance Dining Reservations and are using them!!!! The more popular restaurants are no longer a walk up!!!! Belle

That's just for dinner though right? We've never had any trouble booking any of the WS spots for lunch the day of.

While I personally have not made any lunch ressies lately, I wouldnt chance it. With the popularity of Disney just growing by leaps and bounds, I would certainly do my ADR's before I left home, the sooner, the better!!! Belle

That's not been happening at Epcot lately though.. I got closed out of Coral Reef for lunch more than once :(

Hmmm. Well I know we'll have no trouble at Alfredo's (a relative is the manager), but we do plan on going to Japan and Le Cellier for lunch. We always try to get the latest lunch available, so that's to our advantage as well. Maybe we'll try and get Le Cellier this week for our first week of June vacation. If not, I guess we can always try and be a stand by.

Yeah but that ties you in to going to that park ahead of time. Sort of takes the fun out of it :)

We've never had any problems in the past, but as you said I guess things might be changing.

I havent ever had a problem with feeling that I HAD to go to a certain park if I wanted to eat there. The Hopper option takes care of all of that one!!!! I do wish everyone the best of luck with getting the ADR's you want!!! Belle

Some places, like Le Cellier, Coral Reef, and others, have not been accepting any standby guests.

Wow that's a change. I guess we'll have to try and get Le Cellier sometime this week. No way I'm missing that burger with pretzel bread

Eww- pretzel bread. I'm weird, I know, but the joke amoung myself and my friend is that it's served in what used to be a candle holder/flower pot because it's decorative only ;)

To note, the giant pretzels at the germany quick-service are a snack on the dining plan now.

Those 3 types of bread are the best part of the meal :)

I've never tried one of those from Germany. Not sure why. I've never had a churro or the fish and chips in the UK either. I'm going to have to get caught up on my WS snacks on this trip.

I made our ADRs for Sept last month and some of the times were thin even for that far in advance!

Oh, changed my ADR for Coral Reef....decided to not try it and opted for Rose and Crown instead (managed to get an 8:00 seating so hope we have a good night for Illuminations). Figured that made someone happy by cancelling that ADR!

Whilst I don't want to bash on the lovely Rose & Crown -- they have excellent food and even better people, you'll be missing out. Coral Reef is magnificent, and the ambience is truly amazing. You won't even pay attention to the food, if you're at the right table. We sat at the larger booths facing the tanks with a perfect face-on view of everything going on including one of the diving programs, and it was awesome. And the food was great... can't even remember what I ate... but I rememebr my fiance who detests fish ate mahi mahi there and loved it. Has to be a good sign!

Interesting....I had no trouble getting into Le Cellier. I called last week for July 18 and got in and even at the time I wanted.

I called yesterday for Le Cellier in September. I had a tiny bit of trouble finding the time I wanted. However with a little compromise in plans it all worked out! I didn't realize this restuarant is so popular. Thiss will be my first time dining!!
